Sounds like logical thinking really for someone who wants success but i think the club would be pretty confident with a reasonable 2014, the captaincy next year and 1 mill a season for 5 years he will sign! But dont let logic get in the way of a good story, suprised Carro didnt come out saying "Patty want's out" or simular

Limited success this year and he is gone. Will ask to be traded end of the year. Goneski.

He will see his contract out either way.
Gibbs a bigger chance to leave Carlton than Danger going anywhere!

I heard Sando discussing the 3-talls for tonites game in J-Pod/S-Merc/Jenkins but IMO I would have Lewis Johnston ahead of S-Merc and Jerka. Are they only picking the S-Merc cos' he can play in the ruck?? S-Merc is a spud of the highest order.

Why not have Johnston at FF and move J-Pod to CHF?? F@ck S-Merc off to the Magoos and then you can pinch hit Jerka in the ruck.

Johnston will be asking for a trade soon also (port), if he can't get a game ahead of those two spuds.

Who was the last player to switch from port to the crows or vise versa? Hasnt been done for a fair while!

Downsborough or Bode would be my guess.

Going on pre season form Smack is in front of Jerka IMO. I think the fact he played so much was once Smack got a chance to play last year he went and got suspended, and then Jerka injured himself.

I would go Jerka over Smack, but currently the form is there.

Lewis Johnston is playing tonight. Our talls are Posiadly(FF)/ McKernan(CHF)/ Johnston (who is lined up on the bench)

Forgot about Symes.

Not a common practice though for port and adelaide to trade players.

If Kenny wasnt keen on making a play for Jesse White, doubt he would look at Lewis Johnston though.

I would agree with you, but smac has had a great pre season, and I'm willing to give him one last chance. This is certainly the last year for him if he doesn't perform though.

Johnston not big enough to ruck at afl level imo

Would be pretty interesting for Johnston though given he would be in best 22 every week. But yeah I think port would be keener on developing their youngsters instead

He's only 23. I think he will become the high half forward when Walker comes back in to the side with Pods making way and the back up ruckman will be fought out between McKernan and Jenkins.

reckon lynch would get that role when everyone is fit, he seems to have a bigger tank than johnston, and can do more up the ground.

reckon our best forward setup is walker, lynch, one of smac/jenkins, one of jpod/johnston.

dont mind the look of johnston though, very casual when he lines up for goal, but just doesnt miss them. deserves a chance.

Don't see what the big deal is about Gibbs. Over rated. Dropped off the last couple of years.

Didn't mention being captain. Talked about success, which will be limited because of salary cap cheating.
