2014 at Adelaide Oval

Postby Stumps » Mon Aug 12, 2013 4:12 pm

A place to discuss 2014 at Adelaide Oval and in particular details which may come out over the next 6 or so months leading up to the first game.
I am a silver member who sits in the outer, and i for one am damned excited about Adelaide Oval and what it will bring to have an inner city new stadium. The virtual tour and ticketing prices have been released for next year today.

Seems pretty good value to me still. Looking forward to seat allocations which happen tomorrow. Hopefully front row, right on the wing, back tier of the eastern stand haha.

Let us know your thoughts and your seat allocation once you get them.

Well Stumpsy, how was your seat allocation ? As expected we've been screwd with our pants on. We were promised like for like seating @ Adelaide Ovail. At present we sit under cover (Where we have for 20 years) on the outer around the 50 metre arch. Our new seats are in the far Northeast pocket on the 3rd tier. Our ticket price has risen from about $350ish to $395 each for far worse seats.
There is a new middle tier on the eastern side and the tickets are $695 each. So much for "Like for Like" Who the F**K can afford that? No wonder the clubs are so keen for the new stadium, as they're going to make a bloody fortune out their members.

Well all, we have tried to upgrade our seats and discovered nearly the whole of the Eastern Grand stand is full. So we've gone from primo seats @ Aami to Shithouse ones @ AA. More to follow tomorrow after I ring the club and rip someone a new one.

I thougth the reason for spending millions of dollars on upgrading AO was that there were no good seats at footy park and all the seats at adelaide oval would be great ;)

We've tried to move, but of course major probs trying. What I simply cannot understand is when we tried to look @ avail seats in the 3rd Tier, it is now basically full. But how is that possible? If the policy is "Like for Like" who is filling the new 3rd Tier ? Have people in yhe lower concourse @ AAMI been moved up to the 3rd Tier ? where have these people come from ?

I'm just so frustrated and angry, but really I shouldn't be because I knew we were going to get screwed.

I rang the club yesterday and was advised that the bays are smaller at Adelaide Oval compared to AAMI, hence why it wasn't truly possible to please everybody. I have been moved from South Eastern side just before the 50 (4 rows back) to Northern side inside the 50 (6 rows back)

I am a current crows gold member the cost now for a no cover outer seat is $390 (+$40) was wondering is it possible to become a crows essential member instead? Cost is $370 with access to Sanfl finals at Adelaide oval & undercover seats in members area plus other benefits can it be a straight swap or a waiting line? If this was possible i would have to give up a gf tix. :(
