Round 18, live scores and discussion

This thread didn't exist yet so I thought I'd chuck it up there.

This week I'll be joining the dark side and cheering for Hawhtorn! I feel so unclean! This unpalatable turn of events has been forced upon me because the Cats stunk up the place at Crow Park and coughed up the points.

With the Bombers ahead of us and Sydney breathing down our necks I'm pretty keen for a win over the Saints at Cat Park and for the Hawks to tear the Bombers a new one. So Daisy, this might be the only time I say this but GO YOU HAWKERS!

Oh dear. :(

regards,

REB

Gonna be a cracker of a game I reckon.
Hopefully there's a bit of biffo like the old days too.

Really looking forward to heading down to Power v Lions on Sunday.
Both teams playing reasonable footy so should be a good day.

Ah it's an easy job for the MRP when they only have to look at one team ;)

Come on REB you know we are going to lose our points. ;)
Thought you would want us to get a win over the Hawks so you finish top

We will lose in Perth after leading by 76 points at lemon time and you'll get docked next year when it will really hurt.

Given GWS' current plight as of Round 18- when was the last time a side went winless in a season?

Sydney, Fitzroy??

Reckon it was Fitzroy in the early 60's

Could be right there Jim- Looked at Sydney's 93 season and Fitzroy's 96 season and both won 1 game.

Looks as though GWS could potentially create AFL history as the first side to go a season winless.

Almost as embarrassing as making the Granny and getting done by twenty goals. ;)

Fitzroy would have had a winless season in 1963 except for our gun Cats side didn't show up to play against the wooden spooners. All these years later and we STILL haven't learnt how to respect teams in the wrong half of the ladder.

GWS might go winless this year but they will win a flag within the next 5 years.

They won't win a flag in the next 5 years, won't play finals for another 3-4 years at best.
Could be in the mix for a flag in 7-8 years at earliest IMO.

I know how I feel, I got 50/1 on them not winning a game all year.
The bloke holding the bet rang me after they got real close to the bulldogs and offered to pay out half the bet there and then regardless of the remaining games results.
I declined 8)
