I actually heard a story on the weekend about the possibility of this. Logic seems ok, AFL wouldnt go back to a lesser number of teams though due to TV rights, and realistically the team wouldn't dominate too much either.
Would be a surprise to see happen.
But.....

F: Giansiracusa Clark Sylvia
HF: Howe Dawes Cooney
C: Cross Boyd Griffen
HB: Trengove Murphy Wallis
B: Morris Frawley Grimes

Jamar Terlich Cordy
Byrnes Viney Stringer
Dunn Markovic Watts
Garland Lower
Tapscott Picken

Just a time waster

Thought I'd try

Sylvia Dickson Cooney
Howe Clark Stringer
Griffen Liberatore Dahlhaus
Murphy Morris Wood
Grimes Frawley Picken

Minson / Lower / Jones

Bench Higgins / Wallis / Gawn / Watts

reserves Viney / Hogan / Jones / Evans / Trengove / Smith / Jones

I tried to limit spuds but that was impossible.

His terrible disposal kept him out, I'm building a team for the future. I kept out guys like Cross and Gia too.

They'd get done for tanking again if you put that team on the park.

would Never happen Footscray is too tied to the Doggies. Victorians will dig deep to keep the Doggies alive and they also have a deal with the Uni of Victoria at Whitten Oval.

Agreed

the Western was to generate more cash and have more supporters from The western side of Melbourne from Footscray to Werribee out to Melton to support them. Kinda has worked but when you look at Footscray and Sunshine nowdays they are more multicultural areas than what those areas were in the 1970-80s.

No mergers in AFL.

AFL has too much money.

AFL will address this problem very quickly. :D

That's why the CEO gets $2m/year.

Times are tough in business today.
