Round 4 - Adelaide vs Bulldogs

Need to find that desire and hunger we had last year.

Sando isnt happy, have a feeling he will inject some youth into the side this week. Kerridge, Lyons, Laird could all be up for selection.

Another tall forward needs to come in this week to help Tex out. For me McKernan comes in as that second ruckman and Jenkins plays FF.

Could Laird play though? Is there a long term injury so he can be placed on the senior list?

Sam Shaw was placed on the long term injury list so he could be upgraded.

VB obviously an out, Vince and several others quite possible and expect to see up to 5 changes this week.

Badly missed the extra marking forward, but not convinced on McKernan, to me he's little more value than Sellar was.
Just doesn't want it badly enough and is horribly inconsistent.

I haven't seen much of Johnston, but he must be close to getting another shot.
Jenkins can still relief ruck, leaving Walker and Johnston up forward.

I think Vince will be the one to be dropped this week, he just seems too slow and his decision making which used to be excellent has now seemed to vanish. I think it would be great to see Johnston up this week against a weaker opposition defence, get his confidence up straight away and go from there. Jaensch is another that frustrates the life out of me, he can do some great things but last week calling for the handball off Wright (who was 40m out dead in front) reeks of selfishness. That was the turning point of the game last week. I want to see Tom Lynch finally get a go, having him and Hendo run the wings all day would be hard to match up on.
Lynch, Johnston and Aiden Riley in
VB, Vince and Jaensch out

Rory Laird being upgraded onto the senior list today, you would think he is a big chance to debut on sunday.

Good solid win on sunday in some tough conditions. Thought we controlled the game and should have been a few more goals up at half time. Structurely sound and tackling pressure was up to where it needs be. Now need to find some consistancy against a fast running Carlton team this week.

I would like to see Rutten pushed forward occasionally. I think he could become the forward you always drop it long to and he makes the contest. End of the year we need to target an honest tall forward and a key defender. Side we currently have wont win us a flag in coming years.

It was a solid win, Lynch got the nod ahead of Johnston and played well.
I thought Lynch should have played more games last year after a solid pre-season, but Sanderson and co didn't think so.
Need him to back it up again this week to have a chance.

All the young players were good, but bummer about Crouch.
