Rd3 vs Crows - SHOWDOWN -

Postby hearts on fire » Tue Apr 09, 2013 10:11 pm

First test of the year, happy with the way things have gone so far this year but this week will hopefully give us a better indication of where we are at.

Think this one could go either way, but think crows will go in favourites obviously with how last year went.

Any inclusions yet this week? Will we see Butcher, Cassisi or Gray?

it would be pretty hard to drop someone from the side at the moment. They recon schultz and hartlett will be good to go, so maybe drop kane mitchell? He's played great but can we afford him to be a sub 3 weeks in a row? trying to pick a winner in a showdown is always hard they are such passionate games that it doesn't what side is out there they can go either way. Hope westhoff has another cracker, the neade and wingard duo continue and whines absolutely gives them a bath. I think our forward line is strong and will stretch the crows. our defenders need to watch the loose man sneaking back as we usually find ourselves missing. for me the midfield is going to come down to the rucks i believe both midifelds are very dangerous when given the ball first I have been impressed with lobbe and reden work rate and hopefully can give us the edge over the crows. For us I think this is the game where we get our respect back, many crows fans have been having a crack over the last few years and it's our time to show them we are back to playing port adelaide football, the football that makes them hate us in the first place.

Relieved and extremely proud.

When Adelaide lead by 31 points I thought we were toast. Another piece of evidence to suggest Burgess has been our most unheralded recruit for this season.

In that last quarter and a half we were courageous, hard working and desperate. Things that Port Adelaide have built 140 years of history on.

Boak- Outstanding.
Westhoff- Critical (played out of his skin in the last half to drag us back from the dead.)
Jonas- His last half on Walker was exceptional.

Wingard, Wines and Cornes amazing.

4 points- Thats all that matters.

We are Port Adelaide!

the believe the boys had today was second to none. to do all that hard work in the first 2 qtrs and for it not to show on the scoreboard, then the crows come out kick a couple to start the third, would've in past years seen us lay down and die. But the boys regrouped ken made some changes and burgess belief that they are the fitess on the park got us back up. no one can ask for then that and it shows there is some exciting times a head for me.

Boak- just showed why he is the right captin of this club
wefthoff- this guy is just putting in the hard work and becoming a headache for the opposition. And if he keeps playing like this for the rest of the season i think he might get rewarded for it.

Only down point for me was our goal kicking in the first 2qtrs.
