AFL - Round 2 discussion - (and live scores)

Postby westozfalcon » Thu Apr 04, 2013 11:24 pm

ROUND 2
Friday, April 5
StK v Rich, MCG, 7.50pm
Saturday, April 6
Syd v GC, SCG, 1.45pm
WB v Frem, Etihad, 2.10pm
BL v Adel, Gabba, 4.40pm
Ess v Melb, MCG, 7.40pm
PA v GWS, AAMI, 7.40pm
Sunday, April 7
Geel v NM, Etihad, 1.10pm
Coll v Carl, MCG, 3.15pm
WC v Haw, Patersons, 4.40pm

STK v Rich - I've gone with the Tiges but their capacity to underwhelm has me slightly worried

Syd v GC - Sydney in a surprisingly close one i.e. <30 pts

WB v Freo - FreMANTLE to disMANTLE the Dogs who's win over an insipid Brisbane was a false dawn.

Bris v Adelaide - Crows comfortably

Port v GWS - Port will blow them away and keep their percentage up. The quote of $3.80 for a 60pt + margin is money for old rope and I'll be having some of it.

Ess v Melb - The Dees will give a more spirited showing than last week but the Dons should narowly prevail

Gee v Nth Melb - North will be up for this and I fancy them to sneak home in a close one

Carlt v Collingwood - Revenge is a dish best served cold and Mick will get the last laugh here.

WCE v Haw - I'm loathe to go against the Eagles at home but their lineup looks vulnerable. If the Hawks are as switched on as they should be they'll triumph comfortably

Geelong and Richmond the worries for mine. Cats don't back up too well after Hawk games but Kelly and Corey in are good inclusions.

I can't see Carlton getting anywhere near Collingwood

I can see GC and GWS getting very close if not winning their respective matches.
Sydney isnt in great form and Port could be caught up in their big win from last week

Dont like our chances, 6 day break, poor form, the only thing that opens the door for us is the Eagles poor form as well. McKenzie out is huge for us, he gave Buddy a bath last time over there.

Richmond
Gold Coast
Fremantle
Brisbane
Essendon
GWS
Carlton
Geelong
WCE

Richmond 29 points; Sydney 34 points; Fremantle 19 points; Adelaide 7 points; Essendon 49 points; Port 27 points; Geelong 11 points; Collingwood 39 points; West Coast 14 points

Big call by daisy re GWS and Gold Cost. Both on the road and both will get done. Massive call by Dark Knight and westoz expecting a fairly slow Hawk unit to win on the biggest ground in the land against a side that has had an extra nine days rest.

It's not looking good for the Hawks and I'm still considering changing my pick, was 50/50 for me all week.

Wow. I'm thinking the 6 goal start for GWS is a good thing. A 5 goal loss to Sydney is better form than a 10 goal smacking of the hapless Dees IMO, although sometimes winning form keeps rolling. Guess we'll see soon enough.
