Yep, if they are playing us that early it means they will be playing us twice, chalk up 2 wins for them already plus 2 against Port and they are nearly guaranteed Top 8 ;)

Well IIRC Sydney vs GWS was the first game of the 2012 season so maybe it is not the end of the world. However that Thursday night flogging is awesome.

Its funny Richmond wont make the top 8 next year either.

The AFL has explained that because of Easter they are trying to spread the games over 2 weeks and they wanted Adelaide and Perth to hold stand alone fixtures on the opening round. Reckon they would be hoping for a huge crowd aggregate for Round 1. Also believe the MCG isnt available until March 28th

We may not but if your going to bag others you'd want to ensure your mob can improve as I don't think I saw them in September this year also?

Easy to bag my team when you are an unlisted flog.

Carlton will finish above Richmond in 2013. There are not many things as certain. However I am sure all preseason I will be hearing talk of finals from Richmond fans.

7 goal win to Carlton in R1 2013

Why does the AFL want to drip feed footy fans at the start of the season?
I can't see any good reason for having just one or two games over a weekend of home & away fixtures.
The season should kick off with a full round of 9 games so supporters of all teams can launch into it at once.

I read something about the top 4 not playing any of the bottom 4 teams twice in 2013. Sorry Crows fans but no soft draw for you.
