Why such a long AFL trade period, we all know things only happen in the last 24 hours!

I think that's the reason why they extended it. Most players are overseas on holiday, so it gives both parties more time to think about potential trades.

I read that he might be off to Port if Essendon don't give him more than 2 years.

Trying to imagine Schultz and Monfries both leading out of the square!
Who would move up the ground?

Being paid 3 times as much as you are worth will play a part in his decision.

So he's getting three pies and three cokes a game at Melbourne?

What would the chances be for Jordan Russell to reignite his career? Was a gun at Carlton only a few years ago.
Second in the B&F in 2010.

Jordan Russell, 2004 AFL Draft, taken at no. 9.
Sixth in the 2009 B&F
Second in the 2010 B&F
116 games
An average career, not shite, definitely not outstanding... The first name to quit to test free agency will probably be how he is remembered.

Someone explain the difference between restricted and unrestricted, and the criteria for being classed one or the other. Please.

Yes, certain he'll have interest unless Mighty Mick tells him straight off the bat that he's definitely in the plans.
