Club Loyalty is dead.

Its a two way street.
Clubs delist or trade players so its only fair a player can move if he chooses.
Ask Tyson Edwards about club loyalty, the Crows were quick to end his career and im sure there has been plenty of others.

Can't blame the bloke for wanting to come to the best club in the league :D

he said he was born there and has some family there.. he also mentioned the great culture at the swans.. 4 year deal... looks like the swans will offer Jesse White and a 1st round draft pick....

This week wil be hilarious with the adelaide media... KG was going berresk this morning..

Sydney has a great record at recycling players. Should be interesting to see what happens.

I find that a little difficult to believe.

He's not going to be able to sign a contract months before the official trade period.

Could Sydney afford him without the unfair salary cap advantage? ;)

Agreed, how can you sign off on a trade getting done? Surely the Crows still have to agree to what they offer up before any deal is done? If they dont want what the Swans have to offer then no trade will get done and he goes into the PSD? I would say then Gold Coast would get him, Crows get nothing for him but the contract wouldn't be with Sydney.

I heard Leigh Matthews talk about Sydney getting 15% above the salary cap for cost of living and that in his opinion this wasn't for them to be able to win a flag then go out and offer $4mil to one player. I tend to agree, seems a little bit outside of what the concession is intended for.

More fool Sydney IMO, we were dumb enough to make him our highest paid player two years ago (and would have done the same again this year) and now he is going to be the highest paid at another club, all based on potential. To be honest, and I would really only say it now he has gone, I cant ever see him being a big game breaker All Australian type player, he lacks consistency and when he is down is struggles to get back in.

Loyalty has been gone in football for a long time, we had benefit from it in 97/98 with Darren Jarman coming home. With free agency now a one club player will become rare IMO.

Absolutely he is if he is complaining.

He may have just mentioned it as a point of interest, he may not have been complaining about it necessarily. Would be interesting to know the context of the discussion.

Tippet wants to go to Sydney because of the clubs strong culture. =)) geez can you believe that coming out of his mouth?
He has no idea about culture, he's all about me, myself & i. He couldn't give a rats toss about playing football for premierships.
If Crows don't get a fair enough deal out of this Tippet will be at the Gold Coast in 2013 being the 2nd pick in the draft.
