Fremantle after T Cloke

But I thought all the media said he'd already signed with GWS......

Oh that's right that never happened.

I'm sure any club with some money is going to talk to him, be poor effort on their part if they didn't.

You don't want to lose dominant KP forwards, but under free agency rules we would receive a couple of compensation draft picks. Also, with Cloke gone it would also free up a helluva lot of salary cap space which would allow us to keep the rest of our elite players.

If we're to remain in our premiership window we can't afford to lose Cloke IMO.

Unfortunately for your mob someone needs to take a hefty pay cut. Id rather lose Cloke than Swan or Pendlebury.
Still reckon he will end up at GWS

I wonder what he'd be getting at Collingwood at the moment? Maybe $600k?

Perhaps Collingwood will try to trade another big earner out, similar to Davis, to try to keep Cloke in. Maybe someone just under the first tier players (Swan, Cloke, Thomas, Pendlebury), such as Shaw, O'Brien or Beams.

Not sure when Didak's contract is up for renewal, but he's 30 next year. Can't see him being offered a great deal next time, given his age, recent injury history, and lack of recent form. So perhaps he'd get squeezed out too.

Think Cloke is on $500K.

Would Dids qualify for veteran's list?

Agreed!!! David played for two teams, left Richmond for coin at Collingwood.
I'm hoping Travis has loyalty from his mums side in his makeup.

Yeah you're probably right there about the Veterans List, I didn't think of that.

Pretty sure Dids and Johnno qualify next year, changes to the veterans list qualifications active from next season mean Trav will qualify in 2014 I think, due to 10 years of service.

GWS are being very quiet on this, reckon they are sitting back and waiting to see what the other offers are. On AFL360 last night they suggested GWS would wait until all bids have been tabled and then slap 1.2 - 1.3 million on the table.
