One thing that pisses me off is people calling andy otten andy ottens. In the paper for south it was even spelt ottens. Is it that ******* hard to get it right. Otten for **** sake

Yep commented on that in the sanfl forum. Whilst we're being pedantic, I dislike the use of "AFL" to describe Aussie Rules Football.

i.e AFL player suffers heart-attack on field (when it was local league player).

Also the increasing number of cringe-worthy commentators and footy "personalities/hosts".

SANFL supporters who think that the world should revolve around the SANFL.

AFL is the main competition, and SANFL is second tier and feeds this competition.

Bring in mid-season drafts, maintain foxtel cups, and any initiative that will unearth talent and make the AFL a better competition.

People who think the 'AFL' is the better competition. Bullshit suspensions every week and the hip and shoulder almost outlawed.

Bring back the biff!

People that fight over SANFL vs AFL.

The thing that annoys me most about the AFL is;

Commentators, when commentating on a game where there is an interstate team, feel they must make a comment about "the contingent that made their way from interstate to be here today".

NO! There is a LOCAL contingent that supports that club and they make their way to the ground and then their way home. Sure, some people may make the trek interstate but they'd make up a minority of the contingent that appears at the game on any particular day.

players throwing their arms out looking for a Deliberate out of bounds call before the ball has even gone out, then it takes a different bounce and that player then has to bust his gut to get there before his opposition because he was too busy playing for a free. that happened a few times on Wednesday.

i've gotten into arguments with fellow Collingwood supporters because they yell ball when i know damn well the pies arent going to get a free kick from it. i understand not everyone can love the game as much as i do, but if you're passionate enough to go to the footy, at least learn the f**king rules, or shut the f**k up!
