well what do you think people? chad wingard at number 6 ... looks the goods i must say but body wise he reminds me of danny morton ???
i noticed he's a forward but his highlights include some good inside work with quick and accurate hands - does the power expect him to develop into a top line midfielder???

Very happy with wingard as our top pick.
Watched a bit of him through the championships and the odd sturt game and was very impressed.
I would expect him to become part of our future midfield (boak, hartlett, gray, rodan, wingard) and it begins to look impressive. He is superb in close (very clean hands) and has a neat left foot kick. Love his appetite for the contest though and despite his stature, hunts the footy with vigour and tackles very well.
Ah Chee and Blee are project players it seems. Blee in particular is a tall defender, could very well be used if one of chaplin, trengrove or carlisle suffers injury. Played in the WAFL seniors last year for East Perth so is a ready made replacement.
Ah Chee is a similar player to Ben Newton, wouldnt expect to see much of him next year one would think.
Overall im happy with what we have chosen this draft.

Chad will be good given time. He lacks a little in physical presence and that showed out this year at league level. Can do the freakish ting but is inconsistent with it. Had really only 1 good game in about 8 in league and struggled body on body. Absolutely no doubt he will be a good pick up but we should not expect too much this year. Lets let him train and release all the media hype and expectation from him. He is now playing men. If you compare him to a Trengrove at the same age there is no comparison. Jack almost won sturt a flag. Chad like Sam day has potential - hopefully the advanced training and elite program brings that out. Interesting to note I read on a GWS site that they did not draft him and had no intention of as the believe he has been concussed at least more than 10 times over the journey.
Lets all let him go about his business and see where he can get too.

Been really impressed with his impact so far... i personally didn't think we would even see him play yet, but so far against the Saints and Bombers he has played really well and his first half against Essendon was just a small glimpse of what he can do.... excited to have him at alberton...
Still a chance to miss this week i think? how'd he pull up with his eye?

i havent seen a lot of him but what i have i have liked, for some reason reminds me of a young Michael Wilson, hunts the footy and loves a contest, think we have got this one right but only time will tell
