Shannon Grant has quit as coach of Bendigo and joined McCartney at the Bulldogs.
Great news though with Essendon pinching Geelong assistant coach Matthew Egan, now just need to bring Harvs back and get a couple of decent players.
Was also announced the partnership with Bendigo will end at end of next season and Essendon will field a Reserves side in 2013

Essendon Football Club is pleased to confirm Michael Hurley has re-committed to the club after agreeing to a new five-year deal. Hurley, 21, has played 47 senior games for the Bombers and his contract extension will see him remain at Essendon until the end of the 2017 season.

Really poor last 5 minutes by the lads.
Some players decision making was very ordinary, very lucky to get away with it

Yes i had a chuckle at that incident. To his credit the kid played a ripper game and more than redeemed himself.
I dare say Hirdy might replay that a few times to him this week though

Great effort by Paddy in the Ruck today after Hille went off injured.
Think he had 46 hitouts on his own whilst the Power ruckmen only had 25 between them.
Another great game by Jobe.
Pity we didnt nail some of those easy set shots in the 3rd qtr, we should have been 5-6 goals up at 3/4 Time.
Nice to be 2-0 especially with some toughies coming up in the next few weeks.
On todays evidence I cant see us getting near Carlton and Collingwood but you never know.
Disappointing to lose Hille, Myers and Lovett-Murray to injuries, all 3 will miss 3-4 weeks

Redden & Stewart would have much preferred Paddy go down rather than Hille thats for sure!

Well done to Essendon, wore us down mentally and physicallyand deserved the win.

Last years port would have thrown in the towel after such a smashing in inside 50's and clearances for the first half, so im incredibly proud that the boys dragged themselves off the canvas and made esssendon work for their win.

Still a lot of work to do but the signs are there, and it doesnt get any easier against sydney this week :(

Good to see we've cemented the signatures of our KPP long term.
