Andrew Walker MOTY for me, and that's out of probably four genuine contenders.
Haven't really seen anything too special in goals...

Heard Leigh Matthews a few weeks back say a chest mark will never beat a mark taken in the hands. He is on the selection comittee so wouldnt suprise if that was the general feeling. I thought Murphy's was better than Krakouer's FWIW

Walker should have won Mark.

Not many really special goals this year so not overly fussed with the Ballantyne winner. Fyfe was a ripper though.

Don't have a problem with Krak winning myself.
Not only did walker take it on his chest, but once he sat on the guys shoulders it was effectivly an uncontested mark. Krak took a genuine pack grab, in his hands.
Also, Walker's was junk time, Krak did it with the game on the line.

the awards as handed out last night just proved to me that this is not about what was "actually" the best mark and goal of the season but about other agenda's and perhaps whose turn is it.
Bloody pathetic - and so was the team of the year. No doubt Ablett is a brilliant player but as captain of the Suns he is a disgrace - turning his back on the lads when they play in Melbourne and fly home to the Gold Coast on their Pat Malone while Gazza the Captain stays back and swans around Melbourne with his mates. Brilliant players don't automatically make inspiring leaders. Judd should have got the nod as skipper.

so now marks and goals of the year are going to be judged on what time of the game they are taken?

if thats the case goddards from last years drawn gf was mark of the year?

just stirring, i love krak, one of my fav players... loved watching his highlights last year and love what he does this year.
