I'll put this one out there - I reckon he might be keen on the Adelaide gig.

I remember him being very interested last time it was up for grabs.

I agree, I think he will be the next Adelaide coach

Yeah I agree. Around a month ago, his words about Adelaide in a press conference seemed like an audition.
Could this help bring a South Aussie home such as Griffen?

Could this work....?
Bickley at the helm next year with Eade as a high paid assistant (or director of coaching)

Don't reckon. Bickley is still only assistant material at this stage IMO. Definitely a future senior coach, but not yet.

The youngsters are doing well at the moment mainly because we've now missed the finals and it's 'junk time'. No pressure = what we're seeing now. Same thing happened last year. Bickley is not doubt a part of it, but coaching long term very different to coaching week to week.

Regarding Eade, I'm not necessarily sold on him personally. I reckon Dean Bailey would be a better fit.

I am not sure on bringing Eade to the Crows. One of the raps on Craigy was the lack of premierships. Eade has been at it now for 16 or so years and doesn't have a flag. Not that it is the be all and end all as some claim it to be but I'd rather we find the best of the next generation.

I agree, but the fact he hasn't tasted a flag. The hunger would be there and a new club could offer the excitment of new challenges etc. You would think he'd definately shake the Crows up a bit.

I heard Terry Wallace say that Allan Jeans once told him coaches get two tours of duty, if you dont have a flag in two goes, it aint for you.

Eade or bailey....you cant be serious. neither cut the mustard for mine.not even close. Bickley is your man for sure. having Eade as director may be a good thing as far as list management goes but as senior coach....nah..remember Shaw and Ayres?

true to an extent, but i've been happy with how bickley has handled alot of decsions. In particually the encouragement of instinct syle footy and making risky changes and giving certain guys a go. Craig became to sterile. Obviously it won't be an easy road with Bickley as coach, but i think Eade could possibly steady the ship along the way and include invaluable advice from his experience. Best of both worlds maybe.

I can't beleve anyone is even thinking of putting failed coaches in the job. Right now Bickley looks good to me with his positive approach already paying dividends.
Unless Mick Malthouse suddenly becomes available and willing, surely Bickley is the man for the job.

don't get too excited about Bickley. Didn't Primus do a reasonable job when he took over last year?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I wouldn't call either failed coaches.

Personally I still think Bailey is a good coach. I think he was just the victim of a trigger happy board - a typical happening at clubs on an extended dry spell. He's had some pretty good results with a young Melbourne outfit this year.

3 games and Bickley is the messiah. Only a few weeks ago he was part of the problem according to many punters on here.

I'd take Eade or Bailey above Bickley.

I would kill for Roos.

looking from afar i'm pretty impressed with the change in game style and attitude at the crows at the moment. He makes moves in structure straight away during the game and the players seem to be playing the way he did during his career. Attacking the game, the player with the ball and getting it inside the 50 quick. would be a great appointment i reckon...already shown he is a great leader during his playing days, so ticks that box. only doubt would be his list mangement skills at this point but if they get an experienced bloke to assist with this then all go in my opinion.
Cant believe people are talking about bailey and eade.....geez do you really want to be the first team in history to finish 18th?

IMHO long serving coaches need a break of at least a year off before they start at a new club (lol obviously I would make an exception for Malthouse)
