No idea what he said but I think it's fair. IMO not even close to racially abusing someone, so the one week fine and public hummiliation is worth it.

Although I still don't understand why these people don't get three strikes in similar circumstances before they are named publicly

what a disgrace, to miss a game and cop $2500

surely some players need to realise its all said to get under the skin and clearly it worked

agree, yet other hawcough players can get multiple unamed strikes and after a certain amount of years they're cleared to start again in their offending.

I disagree. For what he said he needed at least a week. Im guessing that a lot of you dont know exactly what he said but when you read tomorrows paper you will see this kind of sledging needs to be severly dealt with. The R word should never be used on a football field.

Too true. Every one knows a ranga didn't choose to be a ranga.

Correct, wristwatcher. What actually was said, does not belong in any environment, and many blokes would react similarly if it was said to them.

The he was going to rape Petterd's mother.

Pretty full on stuff, it's not like McGinnity said that his mum wears army boots.

I too thought it has a harsh penalty and an over reaction but if that is what he said, he deserves the penalty

Im still more in shock over the 50m penalty against Hudson .. I agree that if Patmac used the R toward a family member he deserved punishment - Pity Petterd wasnt able to hand out his own form of justice.

If Pettard had lost it and beat the shit out of McGinnity, I wonder how things would have panned out at the tribunal for Petterd?

Mum jokes havent been offensive for years. Pettard should get over it. He started it by threating to kill McGinnity, obviously trying to get under his skin, McGinnity went harder and got a reaction. Play on.

Those comments from McGinnity were just too cold, too cold. 8)
