What is happening at Port?

Collingwood 23. 21 138
def
Port 3.3 21
Fair to say that Port are at one of their lowest points since having joined the competition, dual records tonight, either of them good, - lowest score ever for the club and largest losing margin ever for the club.
At various times throughout tonight's game it poured with rain, yet Collingwood maintained clean first use of the footy despite the conditions. Collingwood kicked nearly as many points as goals and it would not have taken many more to be straight for them to have beaten Geelongs margin over the Gold Coast.
Hopefully with some decent revenue coming into the club, Port can make the Assistant Coaching positions full time and get a full compliment of staff as well as pay the full 100% of the Salary Cap, think its causing some issues at the moment and at least those issues can be easily solved
No doubt Primus is a good coach, yet I am not convinced that his strengths like in player development which is where Port will likely need to focus their energies with GWS having the best half of the draft this time around. Port don't have much to trade with except for like for like players, so to go forward, much is going to depend on how they can develop their list.
Perhaps one suggestion is for an external review to be undertaken by a suitable group of experienced people and a report to be made to the club, I would suggest that a review would work better if taken during the season as opposed to the end of the season so that Primus and the assistant staffs match day coaching can be reviewed appropriately also. Decisions clearly need to be made on who to reappoint and who to cut from the club, simply doing nothing is going to see the club continue to fail at this level.
