Rd 14 AFL Tribunal Discussion

Postby D14 » Tue Jun 28, 2011 12:51 pm

How can Lynch get off with only a reprimand for a forearm/elbow to Murpheys head, also considering he got one game for engaging in rough (a high bump) contact also towards Murphey???

And how did Thornton also get away with a reprimand for the headbutt to Nic Nat?

Also Is it just me, but I thought tripping used to be an automatic holiday? It seems you can intentionally trip someone and get away with it yet you can no longer tackle someone to the ground.

All 3 incidents could have caused serious injury...

I am starting to get fed up with the AFL game and considering this year I bought my first AFL membership (finished playing so I now can attend some games) I am not likely to renew it next year.

The medical reports seem to carry a fair amount of weight these days. Tripping done by hand should just be a free kick. Tripping by the leg should be as it is.
