why on the offical afl site are north known as nmfc and the suns as gcfc i know what the fc stands for but no other club are listed with fc, are they listed on an exchange or something

I think it's just those clubs' choice to display their name like that
FC always stands for football club, nothing else.
Ít's like some clubs choose to emphasise their nickname in their official name like "Geelong Cats". It's up to them I assume.

I really hate the similarity between the two new sides ---- GCS and GWS. When they clashed in the NAB I hope we weren't seeing a future sign of how the score was going to be treated by the media. (e.g. "GCS 26, GWS 22" in that little box in the corner of the screen)
Next year it would be far better to just have "Giants" and "Suns" but will commonsense prevail ? ---- it didn't during that particular telecast.
