Oh Booney Where are you??

While I've been at work all night, I'm waiting to see Booneys explanation on his statements "Gold Coast won't win a game this year"
Superbly led in the second half by Ablett and Swallow I felt. The first half Rischitelli, matera and Brennan kept them in it IMO. 21 000 there isn't a bad effort considering the opposition, the Saturday time slot and Easter long weekend. Good effort it was IMO by the port supporters, but will it continue after such a terrible and weak performance. Shows how much the missed Brogan and Cassisi

Let's be honest. If that was my club 40 points up then lost to a team that people were thinking wouldn't win a game, I really don't know what I would say. I think I'd be in shock.

Nah, you'd get over it .. it's not as if footy is important or anything.

Took my lad to see his first game of AFL yesterday, lets just say we were over ran by a powerful side.
There's history here in the making

You're right, sorry, childish really ...

By leaving early you are presenting a nice juicy gift to opposition fans and if you happen to be marketed as the '19th man' it's even more amusing.
REB old boy, I've left games early when my team was 10 goals in front. There are some things in life more important than football.

Blowing big leads is nothing new for Port, even when we were dominating in the early 2000's, we had a habit of allowing the other teams right back into the game. The only difference is now we aren't stumbling over the line, we are falling 20m short of it!

Bad weekend for "One club" supporters. Losing to South and Gold Coast.

I am a little confused by the media conference comments;
"Sorry to our members & supporters" etc.
Surely, part of being a SUPPORTER is that you go anyway (I'd know, I SUPPORTED West Torrens for 15 years before they dissolved), why then are they saying sorry?
Further, I thought they had 35 000 members not 21 000 - where's the rest.
How is this going to change by moving to Adelaide Oval?
Worrying times @ Alberton - dare I say it... Imploding?

No dedja, I have access at home, but I didnt really feel like commenting late last night.
Well, after a nice long weekend with the family and some mates down at Victor where I sat ( not in utter disbelief mind you ) and watched the last half of the Gold Coast v the team that used to be Port Adelaide I returned home to find I had been inundated with messages on my answering machine, several emails and, on Saturday, about 60 txt messages.
I said, only last week to a mate, there are two teams that are capable of losing to the Suns this year, Port and Richmond. Port, because when we roll over belly up we are as weak as piss, truly, games in recent memory against Richmond, Brisbane, North Melbourne, and now the Suns show that out crap is the crappiest of all crap. No excuses, nowhere to hide for the playing group. Fans, members, supporters all do what we can when we can but this playing group have alot to answer for and I spent some of yesterday morning doing just that at training. Yep, jumped on my bike and rode around to Alberton to see how the boys had pulled up.
I had a chat to Steve Salopek ( nice lad ) who was pretty honest with me, he was angry and confused as to how we continually let big leads slip away and , just one week after dominating the Crows for 3/4 of a game we do that?
I also spoke to Matty Primus as he came out for training, he was not so accomodating when I spoke to him, he was civil and spoke to me, but seemed to have other things on his mind, thats fine as he needs to work on other things and we spoke briefly.
Not sure what I can say? Testing times for Port fans ( like the last 2 years haven't been !! )
Thanks for your concerns CK.

FINALLY someone mentions this other than me (to mates and anyone else who will listen).
I agree, I still fail to see how this will save all for the Power. Better stadium deal - yes no doubt, but I can't see how another 10-15k will rock up on the basis that it's played in town! Plus, if people are staying away because of cost/location, will they be able to afford the increased ticket prices to enter the new Adelaide oval after redevelopment/refurbishment?
