Carlton v Adelaide

Talk on the national game

Carlton v Adelaide

Postby Dirko » Sun Apr 17, 2011 9:48 pm

As we can't go in the knitting room, fellow Blue Baggers (and Reb's missus) get on here and talk all good things Carlton for the game next week;

For mine;

OUTS: Hampson, Collins, Betts
INS:Ellard, Armfield, Bower

Let Robbie ruck most of the game. He's in good form. Let Hendo back him up.

Hendo needs another run, Bower comes in to help out the defence. Eddy back to the 2's for a spell.

I'd make White the sub.

Hopefully if we're switched on we should beat the Tingles.

Yeah well, whatta ya do. I wanna talk about the Carlton v Crows game and due to the rules I'm unable to comment on a thread that involves my team, but some peanut can come in and throw a relevant thread right off track.....

Carlton will surely smash us in the midfield. I struggle to see how we can compensate for that elsewhere on the field.

I don't follow either side, am I allowed to post here?

If so, Carlton by 10 goals ... Crows are mentally shot, need a road trip like a hole in the head.

Crows would have lost by 20 goals to either Carlton or Essendon based on the weekend's results.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

That's the problem for the Crows, it's hard to see what they can do with the personnel at their disposal to improve the team this weekend.

I think the changes Fantapants mentioned are about all they can do, and lump it on all of those that we were involved in the last 2 losses to show something .. I reckon that makes them more competitive, but not enough to get the points I wouldnt think.

Maybe start Walker on the bench and give McKernan the key forward role? Tippett showed improved form last weekend so perhaps start him on ball again before shifting him up forward?

Even if Jacobs doesn't come up, it's probably worth giving Moran a run with Maric back at the Magpies as he badly needs to find some form.

Reckon it will be a close game. Carlton should win easily based on recent results. We need to get rid of hampson Collins and dare I say it betts. Bower and armfield in. Not sure why army got dropped either.
Does anyone have any info about kreuzers return other than what afl injury updates say?

He was woeful for you blokes on the weekend .. It's prob not right to judge a bloke on one performance, but I agree that he should prob be expecting a spell this week.
