Well, there's only one thing to do after an embarrassing performance - and that's to forget about it and talk about next week.

Some serious changes to the side coming this week you would have to think.

IN: Tambling, Stevens & Doughty (some serious experience, all desperately needed across half back)

Out?? Where do you start really.

How is Jacobs comeback going in the SANFL? Maric is a glaringly obvious one for mine, he's an honest tryer but we have been smashed in the rucks two weeks in a row now. Gotta make a change there I think.

Need a small forward with some spark up forward too, we just can't keep it in our forward line and create opportunities a la Rodan & Motlop at the moment. Jaensch doesn't seem to be cutting it, and Cook did nothing Sat night.

They would be the calls I would make - experience into defence, a change in the ruck, and a small forward (what's Petrenko up to??).

Very winnable. Doubt we will though.

How many number 1 draft picks do the tankers have in that team now? 22?

Out: Maric, Henderson, Cook, Jaensch

In: Jacobs, Tambling, Doughty, Stevens.

Walker will be very lucky to hold onto his place imho.

Broken bone in his foot. Out for up to 3 months apparently.

That guy can't get his body right which is a real shame as he could've been a great BP this season. :(

Unlike most of his teammates, he's got a real fighting spirit on the footy field.

I agree. Don't rate Carlton's key backmen and I think they're a mob of nuff nuffs up forward. Talented midfield and HB line, that's as good as it gets though.

Like the look of this team. Defence looks much tighter with Tambling and Doughty at half back.

Confident they won't serve up the tripe they did last week. Not sure whether they'll do enough to win, but it won't be cake walk for the Blues Saturday night.

In a way I'm glad we didn't win as it would've only papered over the massive cracks that were evident last night. Carlton flogged us despite the close result.

On a side note, I've never seen three turnovers in three minutes like Adelaide produced, it was laughable, I didn't think it was possible. It must not be allowed to happen ever again!

Does anyone know when Sloan, Davis, and Mackay are due back?

Sloane - couple of weeks
Davis - maybe this week, probably next
Mackay - mid season at earliest (on long term injury list)

Davis will play this week. And sloaney is a sneaky chance to play as well

Once again we missed that experienced couple of players who would have got hold of the footy and slowed it down with a few minutes to go.

Stay patient, the footy we are capable of playing is being shown in patches. It will come

Agreed FS. I reckon we'll only see improvement as the year goes on.

Reckon we're a chance this weekend against the Saints.

We need to fix our starts first and a bit more composure under pressure. The composure under pressure will come with experience and by the middle of the year i would like to see solid 4 qtr efforts.

I was only listening on the radio on the weekend but I though they showed great composure in front of goal against the Blues, something that has been severely lacking for a good 18 months.

Some work to do in general play but even though we are 1-3 I'm still feeling positive about this season. Reckon we'll string a streak of 3 or 4 wins together at some stage soon.

Yeah we did however, the composure at the end wasnt there. We dropped easy marks and handballed to much when is should have been kick/mark, hold posession and kill the clock.

We were effective when we went inside 50 and the pressure was there, just the start set us on the beck foot again.

Out of interest - how did Jacobs go Saturday night in the ruck?

I couldn't really get a take on his form on the radio. In the paper he had a similar amount of hitouts as Warnock, so I'm guessing were weren't smashed in the ruck like the last couple of weeks.
