Round 2 V WCE

Expect a win here and nothing less.

The Weegirls are shite and we should win on our home deck easily. Our strength, the midfield, will run rings around them.

Should win, but I'm not taking this one for granted.

Salopek is out, however I think being at home, we can win by 11-20 (but not overly confident).

Lecras will be a big loss for them, but cornes replacing schultz can go 2 ways. The day break will be handy for port as well as the travel factor. The heat the eagles played in last week will wear them down and i expect port to break away towards the end. Port by 25-36.

Well, what a PATHETIC effort that was.
Went to the game and was that disgusted, i left at 1/2 time.
As usual, the umpires were a joke.
Ports work rate was almost non-existent as the Weagles always outnumbered Port at the contest.

Simply couldn't believe Ports game plan -
When get a free kick or a mark, always handball to a player not expecting it or under pressure and then just BLINDLY bomb the ball forward which often saw the Weagles outnumbering Port at the contest resulting in easy clearances.

Lost count of the number of times Port blindly bombed the ball forward all in the cause of getting the ball into your forward lines quickly.
Well i can tell ya that that doesn't work these days bcos they havent got the champions of yesteryear up there, just fumbling bumbling hacks like Westoff & Stewart..

The lack of ball skills and decision making ability even under little or NO pressure by MANY (not all) off the players was mindboggling to see at this level of footy and as much as Matty Primus is a legend at the club, if the Power continues to serve up that tripe on a weekly basis then he can look for another job as well.

Hopefully they can turn their form around quickly but from what i saw yesterday, the Power are in for a few lean years to come. :(
