Saturday's games look VERY interesting to me....
So who's willing to pick the Suns? That's the 10pt question on the lips of everyone in my house (well except the missus and the kids). You'd think Carlton are a certainty for the 10pts, but as they say, nothing is certain in football. Carlton were the first team to beat Adelaide when they entered the comp, so they'll be keen on making the same of the Suns.
North take on Collingwood at the MCG on Sat afternoon (shock!!). Last week North lost to West Coast over there. Not only are they coming off the back of a looong road trip, they played in 36 degrees AND now play Collingwood at the G. No hope? Never write off the Kangas!
A few questions that need to be answered - are Saints the real deal and can they kick a winning score? Are they the most boring side in the comp? (for me, yes they are indeed the most boring side) Can Jack Riewoldt upstage his cousin and kick more than the Saints score?
The Schulz-less Power take on the LeCras-less West Coast. West Coast players played in 36 degree heat last week, so Port need to run West Coast hard if they want to grab Primus's first win of the season. West Coast would need to have an easy run on the track this week to be ripe for this one.
Freo take on a Scarlett and potentially Selwood-less Cats at Freo. Freo were lucky to get over the line last week and so were the Cats. This will be tight this one!
On Sunday, the woeful Bulldogs take on Brisbane less Brown and Staker. The soldiers are already a bit thin, and Vossy must be wondering how many black cats he's run over in his time.
Also on Sunday, Sydney play Essendon. Sydney rolled the dice with Seaby as their sub - something that will never happen again - and almost paid the ultimate price. Essendon looked pretty good but what was their opposition like? Who knows!
The twilight game pits Hawthorn against Melbourne. The Hawks will be keen not to make it 2 in a row and get of to a start that will resemble 2010 and Melbourne will be keen to show the faithful that they're on the right track.
The Crows NEED the bye desperately. I don't think I've seen a side that needed a rest after 1 game like the Crows. Besides Sloane, Porps and McKay being out for a few weeks, their medical staff will be working over time getting Tippett ready for Rd 3 against the Dockers.
