Finally the ALFPA has acted ... Ricky Nixon stripped of agent accreditation for 2 years.

my understanding with his company (Flying Start), has a heap of players on their books. He also has a number of agents working for his company. So i'm assuming they've only taken away his license, yeah? and the other 10 or so agents are still good to be working under the Flying Start banner, therefore, he's still making money, and probably dosn't give two hoots about having his accreditation revoked?

would this be about right?

Yep, very close to the mark. In fact, pretty much spot on. His company can still continue with business as usual. Once again, a mickey mouse penalty from the AFL, but then again I expected nothing different. It continues to amaze me that for such a big and powerful unit as the AFL, how much they are controlled by external forces.

So what penaty were you expecting?

His career is in ruins and most likely his business will suffer a fatal blow ... you would think that players contracted to his business will desert in droves.

I reckon he should be penalised for his dreadful hairstyle too...

Wasn't the penalty handed down by the AFLPA? What more can be done than the penalty handed down?

If it was known it was made up before they investigated, it's likely he would have kept his accreditation.

Now that we do know it was made up, I still think he should just take the punishment. If he tries to take action against them, he would lose IMO.

Either way, his actions had a detrimental effect on the brand that is AFL, and while his punishment might be a little harsh given the down-graded charges, it's still justifiable.

Not sure if he can take action against her? Minor at the time have anything to do with it?

i also agree with ricky when he says he was denied natural justice. he was presumed guilty. even saddam had a trial!!
