Michael Gardiner will not be available this week due to injury, if the Saints win will he recieve a premiership medal? Same applies for Leon Davis who looks likely to be dropped.
If Lenny Hayes was to win the Norm Smith again would he be a dual Norm Smith Medalist?
What are some other weird scenarios that could be posed?
If they players are to be for playing another game how does this affect both clubs salary caps, re: bonus, match payments and so forth.

No. Need to play in a winning team.

Yes

All payments etc are included outside of the cap.

I disagree! Good move in my mind, although Leon neon deserves nothing
However I don't think the AFL should of waited for a drawn match before the changed it

well obvious example as he is the only one that is certain to miss this week!
Although some could argue for Leon Davis to miss

I thought the same as you MW, he would be a handy replacement.
A player that will give you something in the midfield & up forward, he finds the ball.

At first I was leaning toward Lockyer in for Davis. Is generally composed and effective and could rack up 10-15 more possessions than Davis. However, he hasn't been getting games because he lacks pace (think Ling vs Pies in the PF) and this could be even more exposed in a Grand Final (and we all saw how hectic it was on Saturday).
I'm now leaning in favour of retaining Davis. Kicked a crucial goal on saturday and obviously has the ability to kick two, maybe three, of these types of goals. Having played on saturday he will be familiar with the intensity of the game moreso than his replacement and has the potential to play much better than he did. Surely he is overdue to have an impact in finals!

i was thinking meddy in for leon. but having read your post, i kinda agree. it's basically a 50/50 risk.

Might be a chance Stanley in for Gardiner.
