Malthouse has this team ticking like clockwork and the moment and the transformation of ex-spud Leigh Brown has been astounding. What a valuable player he has become for the Pies. In the past I could point to blokes like Leon Davis, Paul Medhurst, Shane O'Bree, Leigh Brown and Alan Toovey as reasons why they would never beat us in a big game.
One year later Brown and Toovey are playing career best football and the others have fallen by the wayside. Who in the Bulldogs or St Kilda side is playing career best football? I reckon this is a key indicator. Never like to lose of course but Collingwood are a great side and I hope Mick isn't grumpy next Saturday. I somehow doubt that he will be though..because the Pies are in form adn that is the ultimate late September commodity that accompanies premiership sides.
Well done Collingwood. They know how to play the game.

Yeah I tend to agree. The Saints have everything to play for and have the pain of last year to spur them on.
St. Kilda in a close one.
