Port Coach

Postby X Runna » Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:12 pm

Just heard a snippet on Cornesy's & Rowey's show.

Apparently there is a pretty strong rumour floating around there is an experienced "Super" coach who has thrown his hat into the ring. It is being a very well guarded secret though they think.

Wondering whether anybody has heard anything factual?

Surmising here, but the only ones I could think of would be Leigh Matthews or maybe Malthouse if the Pies win the flag and he decides to hand over early to Bucks.

i can tell you if any of those names put there name in the race they would not get the job and i believe it is between Matthew pirmus and Chris Scott i don't reckon Alan richardson won't get it. The only coach who i think that is more likely is Neale Danhiler but he is happy at West Coast Eagles

Think you're right, but as much as I like Mattress I reckon the Power need someone that isn't currently known to the playing group.

It does all sound a bit too chummy at the moment with the players talking him up. But then again maybe that's a good sign. Player power kept Paul Roos in the job at Sydney.

It's hard to know for sure. Can the Power really forward anyone other than a rookie coach like Primus anyway and, if not, is it better the rookie devil you know?

I like Primus. He seems to have done a good job so far.
[He may just need to clean out the administration and coaching hierarchy and recruit some other guys who played for Norwood, like Scott Burns and Gary McIntosh, to replace them. ;) ]

No, and I'd never make him head coach.
But he could teach players a few things about ball getting, kicking, and handball skills.
