Mark of the Year

Postby Courtney Fish » Sun Aug 22, 2010 9:46 pm

A couple of beauties this weekend, Goddard's and Jarruh's. Either could win MOTY and one won't even be Mark of the week. Bad timing for one.

Goddard had it for about 24 hrs.
It'll be a special grab to beat Jurrah.

I thought Goddards was better myself. Always prefer the pack mark as opposed to Jurrah's grab over two blokes. Not much in it though.

Add a poll to this thread??

I like Goddards better slightly coz as already said it was a pack mark and he came from deep.

but if jurrah doesnt win it this year he will win it atleast 4 or 5 times before his career ends.

p.s how good was riolis goal?

Both were awesome. Is it true the prize isn't a car this year? I heard that on the Sunday Footy Show

Yeah, just a couple of grand of petrol now. It'll be hillarious if the Saints player wins as he doesn't have a car!

Yeah, Goddard was apparently trying to flog off his new car to team-mates after the game. Lol

Jurrah for me. Great leap.

Cyril took a cracking 1 hander against the bombers earlier this year (same game as buddys running goals) but dont think it even won mark of the round?

I'm having second thoughts.
Jurrah was actually on his way down when he grabbed it while Goddard was at the apex of his leap.
Goddard's leap was best and Jurrah's landing was as good and/or spectacular.
It's a tie.

Give them both a prize. It's only $2500.00 worth of juice so $5K won't break the sponsor surely. A big comeback from a Misubishhi a year as it used to be. I knew Mitsubishi weren't going all that well but from around $30K back to $2.5K is a big downturn in business.
