I was just wondering if any posters on here are still alive in the knockout gauntet comp on the afl tipping site. its down to 1100 people left.
I'm still alive and thinking of taking north melbourne this week to beat richmond, any thoughts?

Havent had to worry about this for weeks

Richmond are red hot at the moment, would not be tipping against them, especially the Roos!

Port will beat west coast at home
west coast will beat brisbane in perth
brisbane will beat melbourne at home
my 2 problems will be north melb and melb, just think richmond due for a loss and havnt beaten a melbourne based team yet and north will respond to their poor performance last week, they always do. never tip north after they win

I agree the Tigers have come up against tired/undermanned interstate sides over the past few weeks. I love the tigers determination but I suggest North will win and win well.

You have done well to still have Geelong and Freo in the bank. A mate of mine is alive but he has all the crap sides left.

if i was your mate id be leaving the bulldogs/port game alone and take freo over melbourne

I think he is saving Freo for when they play Sydney at home. He said bulldogs aren't certs against anyone besides this week and last round v Ess.
He is going to use West Coast up when they play Carlton next week, as the only other game WCE have a chance of winning is against NM and that week Port play Melb at Adel and he wants to use up Port then.

His plan is

round 16 Bulldogs
17 WCE v Carl
18 Bris v Melb
19 Carl v Ess
20 Freo v Syd
21 Port v Melb
22 Melb v NM

Im undecided how i will go but have a few options and a few set in stone

16- NORTH MELBOURNE v richmond
17- GEELONG v brisbane or MELBOURNE v sydney
18-BRISBANE v melbourne or FREMANTLE v west coast
19- WEST COAST v brisbane (this is only game west coast can win)
20- PORT v west coast or FREMANTLE v sydney or BRISBANE v adelaide
21-GEELONG V carlton or PORT v MELBOURNE (may have to take melbourne at footy park)
22-GEELONG v west coast or MELBOURNE v nth melbourne or BRISBANE v sydney or FREMANTLE v carlton

hopefully i have the couraage to leave geelong until rd 22
will get interesting once bottom teams start putting players in for surgery

think a few would have been knocked out this week?

If you can keep Geelong to Rd 22 you will win it. I think the key is keeping a good side up your sleeve til late.

west coast and carlton pose a dilema now for this week may have to go safety with the cats

I agree WCE v Carl is a flip of the coin. I would use Geeelong, better to be alive and hold dud cards than be dead holding an ace.....

Just spoke to my mate and he has to go someone in the WCE v Carl game because his other teams 4 left will be rank outsiders.

Port will be $4
Freo will be $3.50
Bris will be $10
Melb will be $2.80

so that leaves him with WCE v Carl which I rate as 50/50......

He doesnt know wether to go WCE or Carl????

1128 were left in the comp before this round. I reckon that will halve after this round. And then in weeks to come if the Melb, Port WCE, Bris dont win there will be big culls as everyone has these sides left.

Got an email that said 491 left from Bob.

He is so undecided in the WCE v Carl game that he said he might go Melbourne as he said they were great in the last half today.

my original plan was to go melbourne but sydneys great form is a worry. if i leave melbourne for now i will have to tip them against brisbane or port away from home or nth melb in the last game.

i dont know where brisbane will get a win, just hoping brown will bet them over the line when i am on them. they have melbourne adel and sydney at home and if they just had some sort of form would win all 3
