No! I'm struggling to get up before 9am in the winter now. Adopt strict zone time 1 hour behind the eastern states!
That's ok if you don't deal with the eastern states (which I do). Otherwise it's a pain in the ar$e.
See cricket telecasts starting after the news and missing the first 10 overs for example!
BTW Psyber, what's the difference between getting up at 9 or 9.30 (besides the half hour of course ;-))
It's not all that critical now or in mid-Summer, especially because I am not working currently.
But when they start "Summer Time" too early, and let it drag on too long into Autumn, life gets a bit tricky for us non-morning people who need light to get functional.
I hate to think how it would feel on the west coast and at the future Ceduna Keys Marina..
I'd have thought people working in an office environment would be sharp enough to work out a thirty minute differential.
A 1 hour gap would be even easier to work out for dealing with the eastern states, more so with WA where all that mining is [or isn't] going to go on.
It also puts us even with Tokyo, which would have been nice if Mitsubishi were not running down..
What gets really stupid is when we are ahead of Brisbane, and I don't blame Queensland for it.
