Change in guidelines for Crows/Power boards..

The moderators have agreed on a new policy for the Crows and Port boards - to simplify things, these boards are now ONLY available to supporters of the Crows and Port respectively (ie. Crows supporters posting on that board, and Port supporters only on the Power board).

All posts from non Crows and non Port supporters will be deleted, and action (ie. formal warnings/bans) may be implemented for repeat offenders.

If you are a neutral supporter and wish to comment on the 2 South Australian clubs, please post on the AFL board eg. this thread for Round 10 viewtopic.php?f=11&t=28302

I guess it's ok to ask it here on the Adelaide board and I don't wanna bug a moderator by PMing them so ummm what if someone doesn't have an AFL club listed? There are a few people who post on the Adelaide board (mostly not in a troll manner) who only have an SANFL side listed in their profile but yet on other boards (AFL board and SANFL board) who continually call this great football club cows. Doubt they support Adelaide when they call them that on other boards.

Just wondering per these new rules.

Cheers in advance. :)

I agree - I posted about the same issue in the Power section as I support the Power except against Adelaide.
I think this line on these threads is a bit over the top.

PS: I have since read Dutchy's comments about the issue and have some sympathy with the points he makes.
Could those of us who support both teams be able to indicate it by listing both teams in our profile? e.g. Crow/Power or Power/Crows instead of one team?

That's pretty ordinary that ruling IMO. Shouldn't the content of the post be the reason for deletion, rather than the team supported?

The Crows and Port are teams I can freely comment on because of the media saturation in this city, I know the players, staff and waterboys better than my own team.

Very disappointing ruling.

I expect only Carlton supporters to be able to comment on the Carlton board then.

The Edwards retirement shows the negatives of this...there is now two threads going, and as a non Crows supporter you can only contribute to the second class version

These guidelines are a joke and make a mockery of the best board on the net. When will they be removed?

REB

Gonna have to back up REB on this one. Have found the Crows Nest very boring and one dimensional without the opinions of other supporters.

There's always a few loose cannons looking for a stir, but good moderation (which this site has) can weed that out pretty easily.

I have noticed more posters on both the Crows and Power board since this new policy came in

I actually think it's been a good move

If the site wants these club boards to grow they won't do it when supporters come on and see free reign from opposition supporters.

A slight tweek to the rules for the Port and Crows boards. To make it easier for moderation all posters who post on these 2 boards must make sure they have their AFL club listed under in their profile (under username/avatar).

To do this go to User Control Panel > Profile > and down the bottom you can add/change your AFL team.

Any posts without this will get deleted.

Thanks

*BUMP*

Please note above – posts on the Crows Board – from non Crows supporters – will be deleted.

If you are not a Crows supporter, and you wish to comment on a subject matter covered on there, please post on the open AFL board, as a new thread, or preferably as a new post to an existing thread.
