POWER Board discussion - ROUND 7 - Essendon v PA Sat May 8

Port will be looking at playing some better footy at Etihad this week, a venue where they've struggled in recent years.
The Bombers will have renewed confidence after beating the Hawks in round 6.
I'm not that confident of a win this week, i predict some of the Port players may get ahead of themselves after the last 2 weeks, and the Bombers may get up by a couple of goals.
MY TIP: Essendon by 14 points.

It looks as though Salter had a quieter game in the SANFL today, but i do hope he's promoted to play this week against Essendon, possibly at the expense of Schulz who struggled against the Crows.
Lobbe needs to stay in the side this week, its imperative that 2 legitimate ruckman are used.
I'd hope that D Motlop stays in the SANFL for at least one more week.
The Bombers i think have a few players who possibly may be looked at by the Match Review Panel, if 1 or 2 happen to be suspended this will be a bonus for Port.

In some good form at the moment, so Port by 24 points. But playing at Etihad does concern me though

we have a good record at etihad vs the Bombers so we should go well i think there is an attitude change at the port which should the side get over teams like the Bombers

Not sure why we have dropped Lobbe. Thought he looked alright last week. Took 2 nice contested marks and looked to compete pretty well in the ruck. Essendon also have 2 recognised ruckman.

Wasn't it Essendon in its last meeting v Power that went in with 1 ruckman & lost because of it?
This could be KARMA.

Its alright for you REB

as a Cats supporter, you can tip your blokes confidently each week

If your mob performed how Port had the last 2 years you wound't have been confident today either. I felt that Essendon hit good form last week, and i had doubts on Port winning 3 in a row. I also wasn't that confident given Port's recent record at Etihad.
As it happened, it could have been won by either side. The great thing from a Port supporter's perspective was that it was yet another win in a close game this year.
Was very impressed with Paul Stewart, he's well truly establishing himself now as a first 18 player, and the big improver in the Port side.
