Someone care to explain what he currently offers this side?

At 0-6 we should be looking to the youth, preparing for next year and beyond, so to have Burton in at the expense of Walker is a disgrace.

We'd use him well at the Eagles for the remainder of the year ;)
Seeing he was an Eagle before he went to the awful.
Worse case he'd fit in nicely in the seconds

i loved his arrogence when he held the ball up to the face of a port player only to then put his team mate under the pump and have the ball turned over for a port goal. highlight of the game

He, and Reilly, both seem to forward the ball to the opposition more often than to a team mate.
But at least Reilly appeared to be getting the odd hard ball.

I agree! I thought Reilly played reasonable and certainly threw himself at the contest but I counted 3 very, very poor turnovers by foot.

He's Sh!t, he's finished and he offers nothing to the side, get rid of him and bring back Taylor Walker.

He is "just" a player and aside from his ability to take a spectacular catch, he is symbolic of the type of player Neil Craig endorses as good for his side, an athlete who can run a 4 minute mile and whatever other bullcrap KPIs NC thinks is crucial to a successful team.

Tell you one thing though, if he was a team mate of mine and he sold me the pup like he does with his own team mates, he'd only do it once before he'd need a enema to get the ball out of his arse. It's completely disrespectful to his team mates

He is the only experienced guy i'd be replacing right now... (and maybe Edwards)
Goodwin / McLeod and Doughty (this hurts me saying this) have been ok and we need some experience...

Walker is a straight replacement for Burton.. who should have won the showdown medal on the weekend, he was clearly the match winner and best player for Port in the last qtr..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Edwards should retain his spot in the side, he's done nothing wrong and his form has been pretty good. Doughty on the other hand, needs to go back to the sanfl for a week or two

Buton was very good for Port on saturday, thats for sure

Look, the Birdman has been a good footballer in his day and been a valuable asset to the Adelaide Footy Club for a few eyars now so all of these cheap shots by you clowns who probably couldn't get a kick in a street fight are piss weak. Yeah he probably shouldn't be in the side at the expense of a talented young footballer, yeah he probably shouldn't have been retained (in hindsight) and yeah some of his decisions and acts of play could be questioned but I hardly think sinking the boots in is what he or any other player at the end of their career deserves....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Well said Choccies. Some of you blokes are confusing 'over-rated' with 'who you dislike the most'. I agree too, maybe it is time for him to be replaced, but cheap shots from supporters of a club that contains both Cornes 'boys' and Brett 'the most over-rated forward in the history of the game' Ebert, is piss weak.

I'm a Port supportor and I still don't why he is consistantly in the team each week. Maybe because of his name.

Burton is the most over rated player to ever play in the AFL let alone in the Crows side.

Things that shit me about Burton or when people talk about Burton.

Alot of people faun over Burton now as a very good player, ever since 2008 really where he kicked a few cheap goals against average opposition. Ever since that half season effort the media has been doing something that shits me too which is....

Burton only kicks bags against crap opposition or crap defenders, he is not as people suggest "hard to match up on" he never was.

Refering to Burton as a champion, in the same sentence as Simon Goodwin, Andrew Mcleod and Tyson Edwards, or call them the fab 4 or something. Which is completely insulting to Goodwin, Mcleod and Edwards, because Burton isn't even in their league. All three are known for their consistent careers. Burton on the other hand has had 2 and a half good seasons in his career and is the most inconsistent, front running flog in the AFL.

Brett Burton has "X-Factor", "X-Factor" is where a player is shit to average most of the time but occasionally does something good, which pretty much sums up Burton. Never is this applied to Burton more than around finals time, Burton is referred to as the Crows X-factor by the media, yet. Time and time again in finals Burton has failed to perform, only once has he played a finals game that could be called good and that was in 2002. (Or 03).

Burton's inconsistency is only matched by his lairising.

Burton is the most selfish player in the AFL, if he isn't running into the space of team mates, he is running into their backs and/or spoiling the ball their going to mark. On the odd occasion where he steals the ball off a team mate he usually shanks the kick or otherwise **** up. It is a rarity to see Burton pass the ball off to a team mate standing alone in the goal square, it isn't rare to see him shank it. (Oddly enough he passed the ball off on nearly every occasion against Port, which goes entirely against his actions in every prior game he has played, appear to be pushed up the ground and not used as the forward target, which surprise surprise meant the Crows actually had a shot at winning). Wouldn't be surprised if someone told him off for being selfish.

I cannot understand how Neil Craig can use a selifsh, poorly skilled, front running, inconsistent 30+ year old Knee reco patient as the key target in the forward line.

Burton's ability to **** up at key moments in games, to almost singlehandedly lose games off his own boot.

That is all I can think of right now, I've probably missed a few things.
