Will play off in the GF. Whether they can win it is another story.

It is interesting that some people think the off field distractions will cause problems at Geelong. I'm not sure they will - we have to remember that Stokes wasn't in the best 22 for the last day in September. I think Harley retiring will have a greater impact than Stokes' indiscretion.

Josh Hunt is a huge in. His kicking in from full back is second to none in the AFL. when you consider how well Geelong set up their attack from defence, this is a huge advantage.

Have to agree there BC. Bit of a pity that Hunt didn't play in 2008 GF (IIRC) - would've had plenty of opportunities to set up from defence.

He did play in the 08 GF, missed last year through injury, if the knee holds up he will be a massive bonus to the cats defence, already strong with the likes of corey, enright, scarlett and co.

Is that the best you got??? The thread is Geelong 2010. You're only as good as your last game. Lucky we don't mention your team's last couple of games hey.

Fair comment I suppose but this thread is about 2010. If we make the top four that means the Cat decline hasn't started yet. If we miss the top four we can't win it but if we make the top four I reckon we are the team to beat. We've got the wood on the Saints and the Dogs and I'd back us home against the Pies, Cows and Lions in Melbourne. As always, the Hawks loom as our bogey.

REB

I'll back Hunt. Remember, Hunt takes all the kick ins. If I remember correctly, Gilbee is not the designated kicker is he?? I remember Mr Lake making some serious stuff ups last year kicking in.

3 straight years of playing in the GF is alot of extra football. Think that will take its toll and i am tipping Geelong will get knocked out in the prelim this year.

I see Hunt struggling to get a game this year, lack of pace could cost his place.

A slab on what exactly? He'll get a game sooner or later but how many?
