Also a suggestion on the crows forum (from a crows person) that this bloke regularly visits the airport with a view to taunting players!

What a twit, this bloke deserved everything he got.

In hindsight though, Brogan may have just been better off walking away. It may have caused him a little less trouble this way.

What if it was during a game and Dale calls Brogan a dickhead while Brogan is playing and then Brogan jumps the fence and breaks his nose. Is it still deserved? Brogan would get a years suspension in that case.

Like I said - he deserved it, especially if the "serial pest" (perhaps a milder version of Peter Hore?) story is true.

But Brogan deserves what punishment he gets - it's a shame he's only a footballer, probably will just pay a fine (but hopefully this Dale gets nothing).

Crows distance themselves from fan

THE Adelaide Football Club has distanced itself from an teenage AFL supporter allegedly hit by Port Adelaide star Dean Brogan, saying he is not a Crows member and taunting opposition players is "not on".

Crows fan Dale Mortimer, 19, alleges Brogan broke his nose in an altercation at Adelaide Airport on Saturday.

Brogan is expected to be interviewed by police today about the incident, which happened as Power players left Adelaide Airport for yesterday's match against Carlton in Melbourne.

Mr Mortimer, who has lodged a formal complaint with police, said he jokingly told Brogan: "You're playing for the wrong team, you d***head."

Brogan then asked Mr Mortimer to repeat the comment and allegedly punched Mr Mortimer on the nose.

Security camera video of the incident has been handed to police but the Adelaide Crows, an arch rival of Port Adelaide on the playing field, distanced itself from Mr Mortimer today.

"The person involved in the weekend's incident was not a (Crows) member," Adelaide chief executive Steven Trigg said today.

"Taunting of an opposition player of any opposition club is not on, not even in jest, not jokingly – it just serves no purpose.

"But to the minority who may be inclined to do so, we ask you to first stop and think about the implications and the possible consequences."

Brogan is an idiot for breaking the guys nose. Should've broken his jaw. Cant call someone a dickhead with a broken jaw.

Brogan overeacted in a big way and should seek some serious help sooner rather than later.
Dale is obvioulsy an idiot, but guess what Mr Brogan not every one in the world who get's "insulted" by an idiot ends up hitting them. Surely you are big enough and mature enough to walk away.

Just goes to show the mentality of a crows supporter.
