Is he worth a first round pick?

Averages +20 disposals a game, only 23 years old, I would say yeah, given Carlton's recruiting history

Brisbane did reasonably well. Buchanan has struggled lately but has shown he can be a good player. Staker is rubbish but I guess the potential if there for him to perform. And Raines can certainly play, just needs to stay fit. Risk with all three but if they all come off they have three ready made contributors.

Like Raines to Brisbane as injuries and whatever else seemed to conspire against him for the last few years.

Paperwork was this:
The Sydney Swans exchange Barry Hall to the Western Bulldogs for its Round Three selection (currently number 47).
The Sydney Swans on-trade its Round Three selection (currently number 47) to the Brisbane Lions for its Round Three selection (currently number 39).

To get the deal done, the Bulldogs had to ensure the Swans got an earlier pick in round three, which they got from the Lions. Brisbane moves a bit down the order in round three, which they happy to do after getting Buchanan yesterday.

Staker might need a new start to get his career going again. You never know.
Raines, when fit will be a good fit for them, and if Buchanon can find his feet in Brisbane he could also be a good fit.

Having Buchanan will be great for Brisbane.
Finally someone to crumb off Brown and Bradshaw.
Hooper and Harding will be dropped I reckon.
Not sure on Staker. He doesn't really impress me. but Raines could potentially be one of the recruits of the year if he stays fit.
