Adelaide should win this one comfortably for mine.

Lloyd to miss for sure and Ryder a chance to miss through suspension.

McVeigh also a chance to miss with a hand injury.

Was hoping for a Saturday afternoon game..

My son has 2 specialist appointments @ the Royal Childrens on Friday afternoon..
so I can't make it over to Adelaide :( :(

The winner of this one gets a massive boost..
I'd suggest week 2 would be Sat night - being a 8 day break v 6 day break....

GO YOU CROWS!!
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Absolutely no excuse not to win this game. Essendon knocked the Saints off but we've seen from St Kilda's formline over the fortnight including that game that they themselves are/were off the boil. We have notched up 14 wins with a developing side and finished 5th, while Essendon took the last spot with 10. This is ours to win (no disrespect to the bombers who have performed above expectation this year), do it Adelaide!

If we don't win it will be the worst loss in our history. If not the worst then up there, seriously Adelaide, take care of business.

Yes, this is a MUST win

To NC, the players, the trainers, the assistant coaches, the stats person, the boot studder, the gate attendants, the people serving pies & pasties .... just get it done!

What chance for general public tickets on Wednesday you reckon?

Agreed ... The Crows probably should win, but I certainly wouldnt underestimate the Bombers, they'll have big travelling support and have played some good footy at times this year, and you'd expect them to be better at closing down the space than Carlton were.

It will be a pretty tough game but the Crows should scrape home by 10 goals.

I think poor weather or the Crows under estimating the opposition would be the only factors resulting in them losing.

Essendon are extremely mediocre. They just got smashed by 10 goals to Fremantle. I mean cmon, they are capable of playing good football but Adelaide with 3 wins on the trot, at home, with very close to our best side, should smash them.

that was one of the 1st things i thought. the crows are playing some good football bar a quarter here and there, but this is not a guarenteed win. the boys will have to go out like they did on saturday and run the lines and take the game on.
boy i hope they win, wouldnt mind going to melbourne the following weekend :D

Essendon officials will meet this afternoon to decide if they will contest any of the three suspensions handed down by the AFL Tribunal in the wake of Saturday's clash with Hawthorn. Matthew Lloyd will be sidelined for four weeks if he pleads guilty while Patrick Ryder and Sam Lonergan will miss one match each with an early plea.
