Looks like Rodan is being made to pay for his inconsistencies. I feel he usually plays a good first quarter then drops away. Lets hope theres a decent crowd and a win for the boys retiring.

absolute respect for the roos staying out on the ground and waiting for the two boys to leave. That is sportman ship!!!

Pitty we lost for them. Kraoker is devastated. Feel so sorry for him. But these things happen. Spur of the moment where the game is tight. Happens.

Lets hope next year is a much better one for us!!

Couldnt stand going thru all that again!!!!
I hope u are standing right in the middle of the track when the KARMA train comes.................and it is coming, its time!

Watched the second half and actually thought it was a very enjoyable game, both teams were giving it a go and there's just something about a wet weather slog that appeals to me .. Hopefully both teams enjoy a better 2010.

Good game considering the conditions, pity the umps wanted to be remembered. The rules are if you touch a player after he marks it, it is 50 Metres, it happenes at least 15 times a game, they pay 1 or 2. Why pay 1 with a minute to go. Good on the kangaroos waiting to send Ladey and Burgoyne off.

Spot on. What a complete and utter disgrace. I couldn't believe my eyes.

That's the reason crowds are down - seeing overumpiring crap like that. In wet weather footy, the umps need to let the game go even more than normal.

The AFL is a game in which there are 3 teams playing and it's become rubbish. No wonder coaches tell their players to mess about with a billion handballs and short kicks sideways, backwards and nowhere in particular. If the kick goes to a contest, the umpires will pick out a free kick willy nilly and it's turned over.

The 3 things that need to happen at AFL level to return the game to the spectacle it was in the 80s and early 90's is:

1. Change all the stupid bloody rules back to the way they were. Enough's enough.
2. Teams get 4 interchanges per quarter to bring the game back closer to a players game, rather than an athlete's game. and
3. Go back to 2 field umpires and 1 boundry umpire each side and tell all of the pricks to let the game go unless there's a blatantly obvious free kick.

It's become mental what happens at AFL level nowdays. It's like watching a local football training session.

I think every football fan would like to see a 50m penalty like that left out, but at the end of the day if Jatz doesn't touch him there's no penalty ... I know it's soft and isn't really within the "spirit" of the game, but players are aware that they are at the umps mercy with things like that.

Yeah true, but that's decisions in every game that get missed .. If a player doesn't infringe, he can't be penalised, it's a tough one though, you could bet your house it wouldn't get paid at the same stage and situation of a Grand Final

Disgraceful 50 metre penalty
Would struggle to be a foul in Basketball which seems to be a far more physical game then AFL footy thesedays

Im getting sick of the AFL rules makers
They need to stop this bastardisation of this once great game
