Should be the match if the round. I give the crows a chance with Saints comming back the West and they have to drop one soon rather than later.

My Tip the Saints by 2 goals

I think the crows are actually a fair bit worse than their position suggests. The last seven games they have had pretty poor opposition. I'm sure the next month will sort them out. Think about this weekends matchups.

Gardner/KIng vs Seller/Maric = StK

Hudghton and Co vs Tippett, Porp, Knights = evenish

Dal Santo/Montagna/Hayes/Ball vs Goodwin/Vince/Edwards/VB = StK

Kosiztke?/Reiwoldt/Milne vs Rutten/Bock/Johncock = slightly Stk

this in mind, with no crow line expected to win(by me) I'm tipping the saints.

should be a good contest with the crows having good recent form at Etihad, but playing a team that has not lost at etihad in ages. Flying under the radar will not be an issue after this weekend for the crows any more as they will either be contenders or found wanting in many areas.
Two best match ups for mine will be Rutten V Kosi and Riewoldt V Bock. Could very well determine the outcome of the match. with this in mind i am backing the crows with my heart rather then my head by 3 goals

Going to make a huge call: If the crows beat the saints this weekend they will drop no more than one more match for the season and will be in the grand final.

Why make this call? Because unless we are genuine contenders we have no right whatsoever to get close in this game.

I hope the Crows can really take it up to the Sainters. Its no surprise to anyone tho, that this game will be won in the midfield and the team that can convert the most scroing opportunites will win it. (DERR) haha..
Both teams have forwards + defenders in top form. Im looking forward to seeing how the younger Crow boys handle the seasoned Saints midfielders. At the very least, they will learn alot about accountability and defensive pressure.. If the crows are fair dinkum about matching it with the best teams in the comp, this is as good a gauge as they are gonna get!!! For either team this will be a great `finals like` atmosphere. I cant wait for the game!!!

Saints will win by 14points.

I also read on bigpond Hudghton a 50/50, either way whoever stands tippett will have their hands full.

If Rutten plays on St Nick, Saints will get up by 10 goal, Riewoldt way too quick for Big Ben, will have to be Bock vs Nick, The crows might look at throwing Stevens down back if troubled by Kosi and Nicks pace. Rutten too slow(great player though)
Milne has an impeccable record against the crows and it would probably be a good option for the crows to put Shirley or Doughty on him as a stopper, Johncock probably not accountable enough.

I could've said if the crows win this I'll eat my hat but that would've been boring. :P

We're overrating ourselves if we think we are going to roll up and beat the outfit that is on a 15 match unbeaten run, including victory over the cats.

True, but the Crows' form has been good enough recently to give me grounds for hope...

I give the Crows a chance this week. Probably only because of the last two weeks. St Kilda had to get up for the BIG clash with the Cats 2 weeks ago, and then were pretty flat over in the West last week - always harder coming off the trip over there, so for that i give us a chance. St Kilda have a great record at Ethiad, but we do too.

The last time we played St Kilda, we were really good in patches, and they only kicked away right at the end of the game to flatter their margin - plus the umpiring was the worst i had seen this year.

We need to win this if we are to provide any sort of pressure on these teams come september, cause we wouldn't get the saints at a more vulnerable time in the finals than what we are getting them this Sunday!

For that I'm tipping the Crows by 2-3 goals!
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Bock will hold his own on Riewoldt.

Everyone praises Riewoldt on how much work he does.

Riewoldt will be forced to chase for once as well, rather than be followed by a tired defender.

What's his output been like against the Crows in the past?

What do we think the changes to the team will be this week?

I think probably an unchanged line up. Maybe Shirley and or Reilly out but I'm not sure.

What do you guys think?

Why do they have to drop one at all?

I think Adel can take it up to St Kilda but if you were a betting person you'd have to back Saints. The interesting side of this game is just how Adel can absorb Saints' tackling pressure and if Adel can do the same, last time they met the Saints were really fierce in their tackling and since then Adel have improved in this area greatly
