8. Hawthorn

9. Sydney
10. Port Adelaide
11. Adelaide
12. North Melbourne
13. West Coast
14. Fremantle
15. Richmond
16. Melbourne

Hof why do you see the crows dropping from 6th to 11th, they have Sydney,Richmond,Fremantle, Stkilda and port in the next 5 weeks, and should win all except for the saints game and that makes them 11/6 with 5 games to play.

to be honest, i did that ladder without looking at the draw. It wouldn't surprise me if the Crows made the eight, but i don't think they will make the top four.

HOF you have to do it by trying to guess the winners in the last 10 rounds otherwise it's a bit pointless. Collingwood and Port, for example, have good runs home. I'd be interested to look closely at Hawthorn's draw too.

I'll try to do one this week. I fear it will show the Crows right on the edge of the 8 but we'll see.

Assuming mostly favourites (in my mind - ie, surely Hawthorn have to turn things around) winning:

Geelong 22 -
St Kilda 21 1
Bulldogs 14 8
Collingwood 14 8
Brisbane 13 9
Hawthorn 13 9
Carlton 12 10
Adelaide 12 10
------------------
Port 12 10
Essendon 9 13
Sydney 9 13
North M 7 15
West Coast 6 16
Fremantle 5 17
Richmond 4 18
Melbourne 3 19

Adelaide & Port fighting it out for 8th  . Note: that's with me giving Port the second Showdown. Very interesting!

Indirectly, HOF was just expressing his Portite based antipathy towards the Crows in his youthful style..
Let us be tolerant of the young, it takes time and experience to get to know your less overt, emotional, motivations..

Currently 6-6
West Coast in Perth... Only beat them by 3pt in Tasmania earlier in the year
Bulldogs
North Melbourne in Tasmania
Collingwood
Geelong ( 50+ down at around 3/4 time this year in rd1)
Port Adelaide in Adelaide(already hammered by them this year)
St.Kilda
Adelaide in Melbourne (already hammered by them this year)
Richmond
Essendon(already hammered by them this year)

On paper the required 6 wins for a 12-10 looks very suspect,on form it looks impossible. :(

Updated after round 14, assuming favourites winning:

St Kilda 22 -
Geelong 21 1
Bulldogs 15 7
Collingwood 14 8
Brisbane 13 9
Carlton 12 10
Adelaide 12 10
Port 12 10
------------------
Hawthorn 11 11
Essendon 10 12
Sydney 9 13
North M 7 15
West Coast 6 16
Fremantle 4 18
Richmond 4 18
Melbourne 4 18

I had Hawthorn down as Wins the last 2 weeks when I last did it. Now I can't get them into the final 8.
