Who will coach the Power in 2010?

Postby hearts on fire » Tue Jun 02, 2009 5:06 pm

I think either Hardwick or Buckley will.

Buckley is NO chance of coaching port.. it should still be williams, his a great coach but i think its about time a few players start stepping up like K cornes,P burgoyne and Cassisi hasn't done nothing all year and his captain, maybe its time for him to be dropped?? and a few players should start thinking about giving up afl careers and head back to the sanfl (Brogan, lade, and chad cornes)..They will not be a top 4 side while those players are there..

Kevin Sheedy knew there was alot of pressure on his mate Williams to hold his job so he went into bat for Williams at the Port Luncheon yesterday.
I wonder how many of the directors were at this luncheon & wheather Sheedy's talked them into signing Williams up ASAP.
It wouldn't surprise me this stunt was organised by Williams himself. :-k

I hate the bastards - no soul in the club. The Port experiment has failed

But sport is sport - time for the difficult choice and get a hard outsider like Adelaide did with Blight

Granted, but the AFL is now about evolvement. There's no loyalty to the players in any side anymore, and neither there should be with the coach. BTW Malthouse included

I think you are on the money with K. Cornes and P.Burgoyne but i don`t know what games you have been watching but Dom. is one of the hardest workers, on the bottom of every pack.

Can't bat Can't bowl and definitely has NO IDEA about footy either!!
Your ignorance is astonishing!! Cassisi is one of the AFL's top midfielders in 2009 and every team in the league would kill for a ruckman like Brogan who has dominated for most of the season.
If you really want some names who are under the pump IMO try Chaplin and Pettigrew for starters.
But if Chocco gets the chop, it will be a decision Port will regret for many, many seasons.
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Watching on TV from Victoria, I thought it appeared that as soon as the Power got a few goals up in any match, the message would come out from the coach to shut it down, not take risks, and preserve that lead at all costs. I saw many matches that appeared to be lost that way as Port lost the attacking initiative as a result. I suspect that approach lost a couple of potential premierships before 2004.

Some of those names are worthy of being dropped....... but Cassisi and Brogan, youve got to be kidding. Two of the hardest workers in the club. If you want to see commitment, watch Cassisi very closely in the packs. He might not get 30 posessions or kick 50m to a lead with absolute precision, but his work in close is second to none. If only we had more like him.

Now i hate port with a passion ;) but cassisi is doing his job. Against the swans he was the only one who put his head over the footy!!!!!! K Cornes IMO plays not only a negative role when he is tagging but when he gets the footy to. Majority of his possessions go backwards or sideways. I like Kane unlike the arrogant pig who is also named cornes and not meaning graham ;)

Question: With Lade and Brogan coming to the end of there careers IMO port will be worse off than the crows were in the ruck stocks... who is next in line?

Mate i see commitment every week from star players like ablett, selwood, rooke, bartel and there just to name a few.. If Cassisi, p,burgoyne,k cornes were hard at it like our midfield you would find port will win more games and other players would lift!!

I'm pretty sure 1 premiership in 12 AFL seasons beats 1 in the past 55.
