With him being dropped was it a waste of money bringing him back over here

I agree, the Power shouldn't have bothered with him, but hopefully he turns it around, theres plenty of games left in the season.

Mate, if you are just going to come in here as a troll you might find your stay here is short. Grow up.

It's important to remember that, like Richmond with Cousins, Port gave up very little to get Josh Carr back (late round PSD).

As master-Showdown-protagonist he'll be dirty he's missing though! Oh well, I am sure Thomas will sub in nicely for the injury-caused stats ... er ... sorry ... stats ;)

I would not rule out Carr playing. He is first emergency and there is some doubt over a couple of Port's small man brigade.

Might just be a matter of ducks and drakes to fire Carr up for this one. Interesting to read he has played in 8 Showdowns, his record, 8-0  Would have thought the Crows would have won one along the line at some stage while he was here in his first stint. Of course this does not include the draw at the Ramsgate that would have gone to a points decision.

He doesn't seem to have done much for Port this season so far, but the team's form has fluctuated wildly.
I suspect the result in the showdown may depend on which version of the Power turns up.

The only way he won't play is if his hip is no good, how could they not go in to a showdown without your hardest nut?
Carr has played in 8 & won all of the showdowns he's played in.
Could well be playing games the choco.

Nah it was me Boon was talking to. Seems to be taking issue with every one of my posts at the moment. Maybe coz Port play Strut (what's with everyone writing Strut anyway, don't get it, dyslexic maybe?). Understand I had nothing constructive to say earlier, just thought we were allowed to have some fun on this site.
Anyway, i'll add an actual comment this time. Love watching a niggling Joshy at his annoying best. One of the best antagonisers in the business. Think the game has gone a bit past him now though. You could see the signs at Freo, he'd only really get involved in big games for example, derbies and against Geelong, Collingwood etc.
IMO this will be his last year at AFL level.

Maybe recruiting Josh Carr was the right thing to do?
Choco- you were wrong!

Cos ya ponce around like you've done something but if it wasn't for Norwood boy Jack Oatey you'd be down there with Torrens. ;)

Oh. That's a good payout that one. Seems to be the only one you guys can come up with, so i'll take that.
Back on topic, Port didn't miss Josh at all last night, congrats on the win over the Crows.

Now that is more like it. Yes,we can have fun on this site but the Crow and Power dedicated boards are not meant to be used by people trolling or looking for anything other than discussion. So responding to a thread about Josh Carr with nothing more than a  IMO is a troll post.

Now that you have made some comments I can discuss them and I agree with them. AFL football has left Carr in its wake as speed and skill have never been Carr's strong points and the modern game is so reliant on these traits, I too think his time has come to an end. However, if Port play finals this year ( which I think we will ) in the tough centre square pressure of September I expect Josh Carr to be an important part of our midfields ability to soak up finals type pressure.

bit hard to soak up the finals pressure when you are running around in a different competition because you are too slow and lack skills :?
