This game SHOULD be pretty straight forward for the Crows, they shouldn't have any hassles against the Demons.

Adelaide by 7-8 goals.

at least Melbourne have got their first win out of the way this time, unlike last year when they were 0-8 or something ridiculous and beat the Crows. Adelaide will be a clear favourite for the first time this year so will be interesting to see how they handle that.

Ca recall a few games where the Crows have struck trouble with the Dee's at the MCG. Anyone know their record there against them?

Not sure about records and that, but i know both Port and Crows have had trouble against the Dee's at the G.

First 7 rounds consits IMO of 5 top 6 teams this year. so this game is a MUST WIN
and not only that, given the 5 goal and 8 goal losses to Saints & Cats, the Crows must win this game by 5-6 goals as a minimum... They need to balance out their % as best they can..

I want to touch on the scheduling of this game...
We have 2:10 Telstra dome Dogs v Blues and at 4:40 MCG Dees v Crows...
Why would they have the later game @ the G..
The Crows have now had back to back away Sunday Twilight games and have no hope of being back in Adel Sunday night, which hampers their recovery process and gives Port just that little bit more help for the Showdown next week.. POOR FORM by the AFL.....

I find this an amazing decision and i'm not overally happy about going to the footy on a cold night, when it could have been a day game quite easily!!

I'll be there. Looking forward to it and hopefully another crows away victory. By the sounds of it the weather will be very ordinary but at least there is plenty of undercover.

Pretty confident that the Crows will come away with the win, especially if Stevens gets up for it.

Yeah I don't like seeing Maric as an out, but if the coaching group have specific things they want him to do that he isn't, then fair enough .. It's the best way of getting players to change or improve their game by reward/punish.

Also rewards Griffen for some excellent form locally, which sends a great message to a squad.

Big Maric fan so unhappy he's out. Griffin has been outstanding for the Dogs but other than a few good games on the whole he's never really been that impressive at AFL level. Given he's at the top of his game he needs to string some good games together, it's all about consistency for Griff. He tends to play one good game then go missing for a month. He's talented, and has looked extremely strong for the Dogs, so now is his time to shine. Maric will be in before too long, but disappointed Port have the bye this week meaning he'll be out of AFL action for a while.

Im a big Maric fan too, and he will be back before long. 2 reasons for this - he will force his way back with form, and the other is Griffen CAN'T play !!!

We finally get a ruckman with a bit of sh!t in him, and he gets dropped !!! And for Griffen, FFS !!! We would be better off rucking Stevens...or even Shirley !!!

PS May have slightly gone overboard with the Shirley comment... ;)

Green is a big out for them.

I hope Petterd plays a blinder in the centre. He's in both my dream team and super coach sides. ;)

That said, the Crows have too much class, I reckon this will be another big game for the youngsters too. Taylor Walker to kick a bag.

Adelaide shouldnt have a problem with the demons, even if it pours down with rain, our skills should be far better then theres! If the crows play half as good, and tackle half as good as they did against geelong we should blow them out the water! Craigy wouldnt have to tell the lads not to take the Demons lightly, they should know that no AFL is going to be easy!

porps to kick 6!

Same here, I am a massive maric fan, i reckon with Matthew Clarke coaching him he will turn out to be a great tap ruckman but obviously he isnt doing what the coach is asking and he is giving away a lot of free kicks!

Plus Griffen has been rucking well for centrals and is kicking goals also, so if he brings that into the crows games then thats a plus! We all have to remember these 2 lads are still young and ruckman always take more time to develop!
