Fair choice of date! surely it is bound for failure.

I see this as a good idea though, crows fans walking out winners/losers and port fans coming in. Can only end in carnage!

LOL Now to wait for the inevitable calls on 5AA from Crows fans of "Why should we have to play first, we have more supporters etc etc, they should have to play first, Port get everything. I hate Port" followed by Power fans "Rubbish, we deserve the later game, we went further in the NAB cup and the Crows get everything. I hate the Crows"

How soft are the SA teams? Playing their bitches in a pre-season practice match? No ambition whatsoever. 8)

Perhaps they are hoping some Crows fans stay so this game Port get a decent crowd?

Perhaps they are hoping some Port fans get there early to dull the sound of thermus tops popping and knitting needles clicking?

it is not confirmed who will play at what time yet. but i think they will have the crows game last just to maximise crowd numbers and give Sydney the chance to fly home that night if they want. if the crows game starts at 4 it will be an average crowd because alot of people are still working. i finish work at 4 and will go down after work and watch the second half of the port game and then the crows game if it turns out that the power play first.

Im pretty sure they said Port were playing first on the news last night. It would make sense because most crows fans will be working at 4pm but 90% of port fans will just be getting out of bed. ;)

Port will play first so that St Kilda can fly out that night. Sydney happy to fly back Saturday, and they couldn't get a flight on Friday evening. First game will start between 3 - 3.30 and then second one around 7pm

Seems like an odd time of day to start a trial game Rog?

Any reasoning besides St Kilda wanting to get out of town early?
