Mark Haysman was interviewed by SEN this evening, and he used very polite words to suggest Graham Cornes is an idiot. He said no way is Power even thinking about playing in Tassie, so he really can't understand what Cornes is on .... about.

You dont seem to understand do you? Cornes didnt make this up FFS!

As I understand it Dutchy you're right ... Power will undoubtedly dismiss any overture to move, but the point is that the senate inquiry, is putting this forth as 1 of 3 potential options.

What Senate enquiry?

What people need to realise about Port Power is that the club is really really struggling on the financial front. The problem is that they have hit a brick wall in relation to action that they can take to do something about it. If people think that Port can never go bankrupt as Fitzroy did, they are very much mistaken as it is very much on the cards if things dont change. While the club is being kneecapped by financial problems it also reduces the resources available to the club.

I cant see them either moving to Tasmania, yet its not unrealistic that it may have been mentioned as one possible scenario, doing so would open the club up to more sponsorship options - Boags, Cascade, Cadbury, Aurora Energy etc, the club would also have the financial backing of the Tasmanian Government to go with it as well as training facilities at the redeveloped oval the Tasmanian Government has paid for.

Eventually one of the current AFL sides will make the move permanantly or maybe even Diemetriou will wake up to himself and award them a licence in their own right, I just find it hard to believe that Port would be the first club in line for such a move?
