if they wear them at footy park again they better hope theres a decent crowd in. might lose some of the players in the background of the teal seats.

Lets not limit it to just port...which is a shocker by the way
essendon, adelaide, collingwood are also shocking (new tight adidas design). even the players hate them
also I hope Richmonds is just a pre-season thing? That is the worst of the lot

pre-season jumpers were exciting & innovative back in the mid-90's, now they are not.
Meddling for meddlings sake.
If anything, jumper designs should follow the concept "less is more"...

Every Port Power (not magpies) guersney ive ever seen is crap.

The Richmond one from the other night was good except for the tiger head. Im not a fan of having pictures on guernseys. Just keep it to lines and colours i reckon. Or at least keep it to silouettes like the Bulldogs and Brisbane.

WTF is up with the Crows jumper? Why did they change their traditional home jumper to include a yellow semi cricle under the neck? looks terrible

It's an adidas thing. Collingwood have it also but doesn't stand out too much and nor does Essendon's.

I have noticed that however I believe Collingwood and Essendon have it Black so it is unnoticeable, if Crows wanted to stick to tradition they should have kept it navy blue....or does adidas have the final say?

These Adidas strips have a rounded neckline and then a semi circle matching whatever colour is normally on the neckline. So for us it's yellow. I also heard its a pouch to house a monitoring chip? Personally, I'm not a huge fan but will probably just get used to it. Apart from the yellow circle, the overall feel of the new strip is closer to the original one which I like. ie, they've lost the curved stripes on the sides and returned yellow to the neck and shoulders.

But my main issue are the new slim line guernseys, or at least the ones they wore v Geelong. Collingwood's and Essendon's on the weekend were better but the Crows ones were way too small, even the players hated them. That plus stupidly over-sized shorts. If you go slim-line on the top they should do the same with the shorts IMO.

There is whole forum for socker mate. ;)

Anyway, it is much to my displeasure that I have to try and defend yet another guernsey worn by Port Adelaide. Sadly, it is yet another exercise in 'marketing' and one that is not required as the only people who will purchase one of these are the die hards who must have every strip we wear. I have about 5 to choose form but I think since our time in the AFL we have worn about 14 different styles.

This one is not the worst though IMO. I read the main reason for a near total white strip was designed purely for the NAB Cup where you can often be playing in higher temperatures which has some merit behind it.

Port could've at least worn black socks, I thought the white socks were the worst part of it.
