If he is basing it on what they achieved so far or who has the runs on the board then Gibbs is way too high.

No doubt he will be eventually but at the moment most of those other players are ahead of him.

McMahon and Vince better than Edwards, Waters, and Mattner?

I reckon it must be in terms of what he expects from this year, otherwise you're spot on about Gibbs ... Also Porplyzia would be too high based on one or two decent seasons.

I'd also think Cooney would probably be in front of Didak (although a fantastic player), Lindsay Thomas is too high for now and I'd have Griffen and S.Burgoyne a little higher.

And the biggest of them all ... JORDAN MCMAHON!!!

Kane Cornes is > Tom Harley IMO

Ben Rutten is > Stuart Dew and Lindsay Thomas IMO

They are the ones that standout to me.

Good points..

I would have thought Griffen would have been higher, and I wouldnt have Mcmahon in there either.

Bernie Vince is lucky aswell IMO.

Yep that's the other one I meant to mention .. I think Vince has a bit of X-Factor about him and will be a good player, but he really only became a regular mid-late last year.

I would have said that 12 months ago, but (through little fault of his own) he would have slipped back a bit last year, should be good DT value this year.

Had a terrible run with injuries last year (Partly because of his little taxi incident) and his luck does not seem to have changed. Just had surgery for his elbow again which is a real worry and has been put on the long term injury list as will be missing 3 months minimum apparently.

So in short CP i would be staying away from in Super Coach and DT. If your looking for a WCE player around similar price and a defender who seems to be in great shape and may be in for a big year, have a look at Mark Nicoski.

Michael O'Loughlin anyone? Most goals by an indigenous player, third most games.
For each of the last 14 years, keeps pumping out an average of 20 games a year for 30 - 35 goals. On a record basis, he's outstanding. On what he may deliver this year, his solid year has a fair few blokes covered.
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Lindsay Thomas kicked 32 goals last year as a 20 year old in his second season, an outstanding talent, will now develop into a midfield gun - very Michael Long like IMO

Thomas had a good year last season for a small forward, but saying he's a better footballer than Griffen and Rutten is a terrible call.

Couldn't agree more. Enright is easily in the top 10 best players. Drop Harley and Gibbs down, bring up Enright and Griffen.

Big call that- I'll hold you to that Dutchy... :D Sorry mate but Ryan Griffen >> Thomas...

1 good season somehow gets you into the best 25 current SA players?

Have to agree with Pup too- no Tyson Edwards? Someone else also mentioned Micky O...surely a spot for him?

And the inclusion of Vince and McMahon are similarly laughable.

But Jesper has us talking which is what most columns are designed to do!
