So what do we think Crow fans, more bad luck I guess....

Or will Craig finally realise that flogging players in preseason doesnt work

If only the other 15 teams had injury free lists this theory might have some legs. But, do a search on AFL site under "injuries", my god will any team be at full strength round 1?

On Rutten, he had knee surgery immediately after last season ended so I imagine this is tied into that. VB I dunno? IIRC the others are either recovering from injuries LY, impact injuries or falling off the backs of cars

Every player in the AFL is working hard at this time of year I'd be amazed if there's big differences in intensity between teams.

Port also have 3 guys missing this week with injuries the club describes as "not serious", why no thread on them?

Strength and conditioning is your field of expertise Dutchy?

Are the Crows do anything radically different to everyone else -including <gasp> North Melbourne?
I'm sure every club has their own unique aspects, but the core programs would probably be quite similar.

I can tell you for a fact the Roos program is vastly different to most teams...and only 1 on the injured list

People keep saying it is luck etc, but has the Crows ever had a good run with injuries since the Prof has been in charge?

Rubbish thread.

Care to list the injuries we currently have and give me reasons? Here's a start.

Player - Injury - Reason

Symes- wrist- idiot
Walker - knee - trying to bump, knee on knee
Gallman - collarbone - impact injury
Burton - knee - ACL
Poplyzia - shoulder - impact (showdown)

VB injured his foot at training, Tippett and Doulglas are two you could make a case for. Otherwise, shut up.

if anyone would be to blame for injuries (barring those that occur through stupidity or collisions) wouldn't it be the fitness staff at the Crows, not Neil Craig?

I know for Carlton, I wouldn't be pointing the finger of blame at Ratten. More the fitness guys who's job it is to get them on the ground ready for a game.

I can't see many Crows who would have succumbed to injury purely because of pre-season training so I think your overarching comment about blaming Craig for the injuries is flawed.

The nature of the sport says there will be injuries, so yeh, it'll never happen.

Attributing them to a coach is just illogical.

When any club has an injury free year we will all know about it.

We should do an injury watch for NM this year 8)

After the game last year when Birdman did his knee and Porplyzia shoulder was dislocated, Dutchy was posting the exact same thing! Blaming NC for 2 impact injuries!

Bee ..... in ......... bonnet ;)

Interesting this from the NM web-site:

Dean Laidley said after the game that the squad's heavy training was a reason for the loss and, like his coach, Harvey sees as it as required lead-in for the season proper.

For Harvey and most of his teammates, the pre-season has been their hardest so far but he isn't concerned about preserving the workload throughout the NAB Challenge fixtures.

"We could have tapered off a little bit [last week] and got ourselves right but at the end of the day, you've got to be right for the home-and-away season," Harvey said.

Look for the late season walking wounded out at NM 8)

A site I use regularly when Dream Teaming and Super Coaching is http://www.injuryupdate.com.au

Comprehensive run down of injuries for each team with expected returns etc

OK I think we all know no one is going to be injury free, I should have put "relatively" injury free

Correct me if Im wrong but Adelaides always seems to be longer than others...again correct me if Im wrong
